I have only seen this show once, a long time ago was quite amusing. I never watch abc so I didn't know it was on but now I know it is I might just have to tune in for a laugh.

Wonder if they ever get defected........ probably not, they don't have p plates :P

re. the abbreviated form of aborigine, I personally have no prob with it, its just like someone calling me an aussie, should I be offended by this term? Anyway I wont get started had this arguement already in our mod forum lol

I have no problem with it.. I don't care if you call me a curry or whatever. It's all about how you say it..

You'd think saying something like "f&ckn asians" would get you killed when you're surrounded by heaps of Asian people. But it's all about HOW, not WHAT..

But yeah.. I don't see "abo" as offensive, but then again, I haven't been brought up as an abo/aboriginal/koorie/indigenous australian/lalal so who cares..

BACK ON TOPIC...

i bought the DVD last night an the ABC shop. i dont care if it is staged it is a classic. i liked the one where they had get their band and equipment to a town 1/2 a days drive away in a beat up EH (?) wagon with only 1 door. they go over a huge bump and the roof caves in under the wight of the gear. they chop the roof off with an axe, turn it upside down and drag it behind as a trailer!

A couple of my favs was one were the fuel pump failed, so they pulled it off and ran hose into the passenger front and the guy was franticly pumping it as fast as he could while the other guy drove. hehehe. The other one I thought was funny was when one of the wheels snapped, they made a "sleigh" out of some old timber and tied it on. 3 wheel drive.

Staged or not it's still entertaining, you'd be lucky to find any 'reality' show that isn't staged.

A mate of mine was involved with the 'winner' of one of the high profile reality shows during the time they hadn't even got to the last 10 contestants for the series...
