Default How long do your tyres last?

Just curious to see average tyre life.... how many k's do you get out of your front/rear tyres? and what brand are they?

Ive got "Goodyear eagles" 225/16, Bob Jane Tmart (who i brought them off) reckons they will last 3 to 4 years, with their tyre life plan, every 5000ks, i take the car in and they check, rotate, inflate and balance them and all shoudl be good , just depends how you drive too, i dont thrash/do burnouts in my car so they should last all that time, ive had them bout a year now and stil have bout 80% tread.
Thats all right, thats ok, I drive a commodore anyway!!!!

I used dunlop SP Maxx Religiously on my 19's, i got 30000 out of them, sold the car after the second set 3 months ago. They were one of the few tyres that would not break traction easily delivering 290 rwkw

i got some crappy falkens, dont last me to long at all, so far up to about 13000km, and they are fairly bald, not driving em to hard, front tyres on the other hand last me forever, got them about 20000km ago and they are still about 90% tread

itd help if my odometer worked

but i've had the car 18 months now, original tyres (brand new when purchased) and they're down to about 60% now (no burnouts or doriftos) on the rear and 70% up front. some crappy brand of tyre too

I've had my BFG GSport for 14000 k's and they still have about 70% tread, but have gone hard, so traction in the wet is non existant

welllllll... my front ones have been on there for ages.. bob jane alrounders.. i think about 20000... they got about 80% left on them.. The rears... well ummm do you wanna know how long i own them before i get rid of them or how long there on the car????... either way i own them generally less then 2 weeks and they are usually on the car for a week. Just depands on weather or not they get munched on the weekend or during the week. I drive my rears hard and the best set i ever had where some cheapo ones. Smoked like crazy, broke traction like crazy, they hadnt gone hard either. But they never seemed to wear out. They lasted me like 3 weeks. Then they started to shred.. gotta hate that. But thats cause i went line marking on some pritty dodgey road. Should have got the council to re-surce it first and paint my tires white... he he. Anyways... i get my rear tyres for free so it doesnt bother me just gotta pay $5 for fitting without a balance or $10 with.. and i only get a balance if i need them to stay on for a while.

i always get around the 20,000kms, but i do buy a softer compound tyre.

at teh dealership i work we get back a lot of the fleet cars that have 40,000 kms and most of them have over 50% tread, (mostly highway driving)

I've done about 15,000km's on these 18 inch maxxis tyres and they are prolly just under half tread. I don't do burnouts on them but there are some scrub marks from hard driving on occassion.

My wagon is fitted with Yokohama S760's. They've done about 9,000 kms (tar & gravel roads) & still have around 85% tread left.

i wondered who would have the first "hero" post. you my friend have won a ticket to ********sville.

Not sure how long mine last on the commodore. had the same ones for a couple of years but it doesnt get driven much. Camry does about 1000k's a week and its looking good to see the year out. so about 50thou with proper balancing and rotation.

    I must be tyre frying..

I'm currently on my 8th set of tires on the VR, Second lot of rims (sold my VN rims). Had Directionals, now on Re-Treads, im thinking my next set will be my last set, due to the 18s coming!

But I've had my current (backend wheels) maybe a month/two? and it's 50% tread left and right tyre.
