Ok.. I have a dilema.. I'm putting money slowly away for rims.. but I have had a fixation for ROH Fury 18" rims for a while, ONLY due to the fact that I hadn't seen any on a Commodore before, and it was Original!
In the last FORTNIGHT, I have seen a set on a VT near Knox, a VX/U/Z somethign or other with a set in Hastings, and I thought No, not getting them now.
I wouldn't mind chrome (call me rice? stfu). but it will be in 18" or 17" but dumped! and around the $1,500 mark, no more expensive than $1,600.
Suggestions - not after photochops, just the rim name, website link, and photo if possible!
Yeh round my area tons of Fury's.

I think somethin basic like this would suit trent. Tempe deliver to your door aswell.

*scratches chin* Highly possible, Cheap, Chrome, *bling*.. do-able!
I needa lower the car first.. for $350 or under! LOL
$350 or under will get you springs all round fitted and a wheel alignment. Will be fine for now but shocks will wear alot quicker due to the extra travel.Originally Posted by tr3nt
Also I wouldnt go a chrome rim, wouldnt suit your car in my opinion, either just a silver or shadow chrome.

I've heard Tempe Tyres cheapen their packages by puting non ADR approved tyres on the rims.
Yeah, im keen to try new things.. I'll be getting a spray eventually (re-spray) and I wouldn't mind chrome.. My mates said the same about a mates EL XR' with chrome.. said it would look shit.. I don't mind it personally.. something different!
If you have a repray would look alright, not to bag your car but its the same as mine, chrome I feel on faded paint looks terrible.Originally Posted by tr3nt

You can ask what the package comes with, and if your not happy with them you can chose (at extra cost) from there huge range http://www.tempetyres.com.au/product...ype=Tyre+RangeOriginally Posted by bangers
Although I doubt they are suppling packages with non ADR compliant tyres, I have never heard of this and they have sold thousands of packages to commodore owners australia wide.

Oh it does, no doubt. It will be happening.. it's one of those "im going to get around to saving for it" jobs. No offence taken about the quality of the car, it's fading.. FAST!
Pfft.. who needs shockersOriginally Posted by AirStrike
I dunno, I have been told that many differnt stories..
Need control arms, sway thingy link bars, new this new that.. I honestly don't know these days.. I'm the first to admit i'm not completely mechanically minded. I'm thinking of ringing up several different tyre places (Bridgestone, Beaurepairs, Tyrepower) and saying "look.. im after "SuperLow" springs for a VR Commodore, to eventually have 18" rims under it. What do I need parts wise, and how much will it set me back"
Whichever majority votes, I will go for LOL.. UNLESS i can be convinced otherwise!
Meh.. tires are tires.. I have re-treads at the moment!Originally Posted by AirStrike
LOL! Anything is better then retreads. Not really a problem with an 18 but make sure the tires meet the required load rating.Originally Posted by tr3nt
You dont need new control arms, link pins, etc to lower it. If they are shagged easier to replace them when your getting the springs done tho.

Dave; quit bein tight.. add me to msn.. if you have it of course..
Yeah.. I just want Springs at the moment I THINK! to lower it.. I think shocks might be a good idea.
Bon jane are having an end of financial year runout sale. Saw the ad on tv before they have 17's for $77 each without tyres and 18's were around $100 each. I got my 18's for $1350 with tyres, fitting + balancing + alignment + locknuts all up $1550. mine are RJR blades (cv8r copies without the black between spokes), I was going to get AMG quakes they are pretty sexy as well IMO.
Get the rims before you lower it then you will know how low you can go. A mate had a lowered VR (on its guts) and he got vt gts wheels (17's) after he lowered it and he wrecked his guards when the tyres hit them.
Oh yeah.. I was thinking about lowering b4 rims.. but I might get it done as a package thing.. that way it's not me lowering, it's the tyre service.. and I get warranties and guarantees and if it breaks, I will go to them!
