i just saw a ford Ad on tv

they were showing the history of ford and the fpv's

then just before they were showing the car dealerships where u can buy them from a random dude does a voice over and says

'i love pulling up next to a holden and having the driver look at me and wish they were in my car'

i dunno if any1 else has seen it...even if u haven't what do u think about it?

personally i thought it was pretty funny and laughed about it...

kinda goes with ads they had a while back about "the lion being near extinction"
if that's the BS they neeed to shove down the throats of the car buying market to buy one of those things then I say leave em be, coz holden hasn't to my knowlege ever resorted to plainly denigrating fords

Holden doesn't need to put out advertising like that because what they do is just tell the public they are getting bargains when they're not actually. They also flood the market with a billion models based on the commodore.

Sounds like typical ford behaviour LOL They copied the look of the VX and VY with the BA and The BF looks just like a BA with a new gearbox LOL. Ford always release their falcon around 6 months after the commodore just so they can copy holden, The BA is selling well tho so good luck to them. Its just never going to be as good as a commodore which is a world class car being exported to more than a dozen countries. Falcons are exported to nowhere maybe only NZ

To tell the truth, and this is complete honesty, if a BA/AU upgraded (XR8 or XR6T) rocked up next to the lights, **** yeah, I would say "I wish I had your car"

Me being a a V6 driver, who can't yet afford mods, I would love a 8 Cylinder, or a 6 Turbo!

What are you on about? Cars arnt designed and built within 6 months. The 08 Falcon is already, ready to be built and will probably will be this year for testing.
Falcons are RHD only cars and it's a bit hard to export. Hence the gov grant to get it compliant to be an export car. Jeez when American motoring journos are saying that the XR6T, GT and Territory can save Ford US the car isn't rubbish.
Plus Ford must do pretty well since they make a profit with their Aussie made cars and only export to NZ and South Africa.


Anywho, Holden have one of the best marketing departments in the country and know how to push their cars. The amount of interest generated form the VE amazes me and saying that "it's the most import car to Australia" when it'll have a significant drop in Australian parts compared to the VZ. Genius!!
