Just wondering if anyone has notice the amount of frost we had this morning. Its a rare sight in the suburbs of SA this time of year and we don't normally get many mornings like this at all throughout winter.
Unfortunately I don't have the privilege of locking up my car at night and this morning was presented with this on the ute lid this morning....

i stayed at my missus place last night (coldest place in the riverland!) woke up and looked outside and there was ice on the rocks in her driveway!!!
clocked -6 degrees last night at the renmark airport which was about 1 km away from her house
yep my mums car had ice on the windscreen
I was meant to have my car at my mechanics at 8.30, walked out to my car with ice on all the windows, grabbed the hose, hosed the windscreen and windows down and off i went, with ice still half way up my windscreen. Made horibble sounds when i used the wipers to move it, i got all the ice off as i pulled into the mechanics drive. I Havnt seen ice that bad since i was in primary school
the back of ur ute looks more like an ice skating rink

Its the worst I have seen in a long time. I know it gets that bad out in the country and outer areas as they forecast it on the news, but was a bit of a shock this morning to wake up and see white on everything. Am expecting snow next......
last 3 mornings iv had to scrape my windows with a credit card.WTF i moved here to get away from this in scotland lol

the sky is too clear for snowneed cloud cover to make snow
Yeah, the trouble is with snow you need clouds. And when there is cloud cover the overnight temperature doesn't get as low which isn't good for snow making.....
They do get some in the hills every now and again though, the altitude helps![]()
i hope it was more fun on the roadlol.... i was still alseep so didnt reele feel the cold

What got me was the nutters out on the Regency golf course at 7am, must have been a pain hitting the ball over the iced white greens.

You guys dont know the MEANING of frost and ice until you have been to Canberra! hehe. But seriously, in the mornings my car is always covered in ice. And it takes near 10mins just to scrape it off the windscreen. Even the dirt is covered in ice...nasty stuff. Especially when your wearing heels!
haha, that's why I live in adelaide....... j/k, am looking at taking a trip to canberra in the new year. I won't get started about our hot weather, that puts just about any capital city in australia to shame, last summer here was a boiler....Originally Posted by Rinn_P

That sounds like my car. I'm know to hang out the window when turning corners, just so I can see properly!Originally Posted by vlv8vic

Used to get this all the time. Then I moved to sunny Brisbane and became a uni student. So not only is it to warm for a frost by the time I get up any frost would have well and truely melted.
One cold morning at my place (sydney) mums car had ice all over the windscreen, and she was in a rush, so I got the job of hosing it off. So she comes out, I'm hosing, she gets in the car, and the water restrictions car pulls up, at 7 AM. How ****ing unlucky can you be! It was meant to be a $250 on the spot fine (for hosing a car) but he let us off with a warning.
yeap, a good friend of mine lives on conrod and she said it was fuggin freezingOriginally Posted by WAGON MAN
