The Pressure of our hotwater in the house has dropped considerably....... Is this a fault with the hotwater unit or could it be something else.

At the moment it just trickles out.....

Oh dear. Sounds like it's gone from a pressure type to a gravity system like in the roofs. What brand is it? I thought I'd ask seeing that there is a 100 HWS ads on the radio everyday. Every company tells you how good theirs is!

Unlike others who say " Ah I really need to see it, but call out is $120.."

The pressure release valve on the side has two metal filters in it some times they get clogged up with slim and stuff, just took it off gave it a good clean up and back on...... nearly blew my hand off with the pressure now (well thats a bit over the top) but its back to normal...

The guy said it happens all the time and is a two minute job...

By the way it is a Rheem...

Ahhhhh Rheem..... guaranteed to die just after the 10 year warranty has expired. Saying that though, just had one die after almost 14 years of service.

I Spoke to a plumber and they said it could be a blockage or the valve u mentioned so im glad it all worked out 4 u....
