    Default E Toll Transponder

Just got ine of those e toll passes....got sick of looking for coins (we're all a bit slow to adapt to technology here in Brissy) and hate how crap the white thing looks thru the glass! Anybody ever painted theres black? Does it effect the operation? I'm guessing not as it can shot thru glass but you never know?

mine is black, but here in the fine print it says you can be fined for defacing their property lol, works fine, never been fined for defacing their property

You can hardly notice it mate.. Especially when every other car will have one..

It's seriously not that big a deal..

And if you've got an R8 Maloo, people won't be looking at the eTag mate..

I have mine stuck onto the tinted section of the windscreen, just above the rear vision mirror and works fine. It can't really be seen from the outside.

You would never know I had one.

    Cheers

I'm with you SSMarine. I reckon they look crap, so i just never mounted mine. I keep it in the centre console and just hold it up to the windscreen as I'm driving past.

I thought my instructions said not to put it up there. But yours works? I'm going to move mine then!!

I already have a spare bracket to use for the job, but does anyone know the best way to remove the old one? It seems to be stuck on pretty well.

You mean it just stays in the g/b the whole time, even when you're driving through the tollway? Or do you put it up to the windscreen as you're going through like I do?

just a little question from left field...

When in F$&k's name are they going to do it for bikes? i'm sick and F$%king tired of holding up 40 F$%king cars every time I try to stop, look for neutral, take off my gloves, open the visor, open my pocket, search madly for the change I put in there before hand, get change from toll girl, put it in pocket, zip up, glove on, visor down, clutch in, first, rev and finally take off

I'm sure you lot love being stuck behind me too

Hmmm, your tags must be different to ours in NSW then. No way ours would work in the g/b...

Come to Europe and see the cars here with all the vinettes from all the different countries. You need to buy 6-12 month stickers in ur window to drive on the highways as they dont use tolls, then the countries that do use tolls they offer like the Etoll stickers as well. So u can have up to like 6 stickers down ur window if u drive through the european countries regularly.

For the highways we have swiss and austrian ones, as we r in germany i think the german one is covered with the rego. Cant be stuffed with the french, italian and spanish toll ones as we hardly go there.
