Some people say less talk more action, i say more torque less traction.
Go on!! Do it, you know you wanna!!
IMO, any day is a good day for car detailing. Let yourself bond and be as one with your vehicle...![]()
I always check the weather forecast. I need at least four days of no rain before I polish and wax my car..
Can rain all it wants, thats what a shed is for![]()

I do all my cleaning / detailing in the garage with the door shut. I've got five flouro's and one halogen set up in there so the lighting is awsome.
...only problem is, if it rains afterwards or looks like rain, I don't wanna drive it anywhere! Oh well, that's what the missus' car is for...![]()
we don't have rain for at least 4 months a year in darwin. the problem is that the dust gets on it instead. and the birds poop on it. and the cooler mornings form condensation which messes with the dust.
i can't win![]()
ECOTEC KICKED IN yO!!!!!!
I've got a garage, it's not the actual rain affecting my act of polishing I'm worried about. It's my inability to take my car out without wincing..Originally Posted by minux
First few rains it slides right off, as if it never rained. But it does affect the polish and wax..
you need better quality wax![]()
ECOTEC KICKED IN yO!!!!!!
The stuff I use costs like $70 a bottle.. It's awesome stuff..

Just because it's 70 bucks a bottle, doesn't mean it lasts any longer.I've used zaino, which is reportedly BETTER than Zymol and at 45 bucks a bottle,a lot better option than shelling out $70.Both are polymer based and i would guess that they would both have similar DNA but not being a chemist i couldn't say for sure.Originally Posted by Shounak
At the moment i'm using stuff from Meguiar's range(having run out of Zaino) namely, colour boost & tech wax and like Zaino both products are polymer based so they're equally adept at filling in light scratches.
IMHO i think that head to head, using Zaino (and still remembering that Zaino is way cheaper than Zymol) and Meguiar's,(using colour boost and tech wax over the top) is bugger all in it!!! I'd opt for Meguiar's,as Zaino at this stage is by mail order only(where i am anyway)Meguire's is easier to get AND half the price of Zymol and no, i don't work for Meguiar's,they just have damn good stuff.
