I'm proud to be an Aussie too mate, and I'm proud that the Socceroos did so well! I follow rugby union and league because I like the game and it is played in many countries through out the world, and the same goes for soccer. AFL like American football is unlikely to be played at a high level overseas or recognised widely, that is not to say it isn't a highly skilled sport. I just can't see it taking off.

judging by the display this morning....italy have the side to win it...pretty comfortably...but france are hitting their straps at the right end of the tournament....portugal return deco to their list so it should be a good semi there and if france win....i reckon they'll win it for zidane...but then again the azzuri are good and the juventus boss jumped out a window a week or so back...so i dunno im confused.

the divers goal was awesome....set up beautifully by pirlo, couldve had a shot first time but no..held on to it, spotted grosso in the box, nicely timed pass for an exquisite first touch finish...
then on the counter, del piero goes blind side of the defender, through ball timed perfectly and done...clinical del piero finish. i reckon buffon was the difference, he didnt let nothing in....
france portugal should be a cracker!!!
