personally i reckon most of it looks good, and we should be encouraging these people to excel in their chosen art field, but it is the culture that goes along with most graffing that makes it seem so bad. that and tags that make anything good look shit...
i was just giving a heads up to the man, in case these, which im confident are, werent done "illegally"...but i could be wrong.

As long as it's not tagging other peoples property without permission then I have no issues with it
ive edited the post but.... how are they gonna find out who did em???
as far as i know, all of these pieces are "legal" and were authorised and organised by the owners and the painters. not all that they do are and i know that it is very illegal and they can go to jail for doing it. these people are paid and asked quite often to do pieces for people and owners as that is what they do. they have walls that they can go and paint anytime they like and usually carry their permits with em. thanks for the warning tho!![]()
yeh sweet, i dont give a ### who does what where they do it and who with, i couldnt give a shit if these people did it on the front of parliament house, or on some concrete slab out in whoop whoop...i was just trying to do the right thing and i get flamed for it.... ###Originally Posted by vee ka

well.... i wasnt trying to flame ya, thats why i edited my post, took ya warning and did something about it. u made a good point, so i made a point of telling people that these pieces inparticular were done legally.![]()
They look nice mate.
the full art stuff is great, its a lovely style, though i note some people go cel shade and others do normal gradient stuff, would be interesting if they did some peices by computer
attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
these guys in particular only use freehand and aerosole cans although they generally draw an outline first. they dont get into the computer side of things as far as i knowthanks for the good comments tho
ps: i knew thered be backlash!!![]()
that crap above isnt graffiti, it's called street art, graffiti to me is the little boys and girls who run around tagging stuff, with silly things like mfc or nwa stuff like that, the stuff above dont look to bad, but it's the other junk that drives me nuts
i am the god of britany spears womanizer on just dance on the wii
i would love a photo of my car infront of thatthey look sick i have a pic of a vl with graffiti in the background looks shweeet!
anyone else got pics of "street art" ??
I laugh when i see really crappy tags in places that looks like you would have to be a freaking gymnast to get access to... Think of the effort involved and if that was applied, to say, A JOB!
The full on, artwork ones are pretty cool, some anyway!
the obscure ones kept me entertained for 3 weeks while i was in melbourne on holidays. some of the tags are huge. how do you write your name the full width and height of a 3 storey building?Originally Posted by Morgasshk

oh, and someone in darwin has discovered stencil grafitti. charlie chaplins are appearing all over the place.
ECOTEC KICKED IN yO!!!!!!
Alfred Hitch**** would own Charlie Chaplin in the stencil stakes.
from what i saw in melbourne, johnny howard owns both of them.

Forgive me lord for i have sinned, I hit 4th gear jump5th gear pinned:b:
The biggest wall in my room has a massive peice on it that a mate did. It will get buffed and redone with something different every couple of weeks. Im into it a fair bit. As hozy said half of the work done are done with permission. We call them 'legals' in Adelaide. Melbourne has some of the best graff around.
And clint if you want to get a photo of your car infront of some good work i can tell you where to find some good stuff in Adelaide.

Yeah used to be well into it in my younger days (damn I sound like an old c^nt LOL). We went on quite a few "writing" sessions.
Some of it is crap but allot of it is genuine art IMO
Anyone got that graffiti dvd that was going around a while back? the one where the dudes are painting trains and sh1t. awsome stuff.
I think graffiti art is amazing. The real stuff I mean...not the crappy taggs that you see around all the time. I used to work in a youth refuge and we had this one wall at the skate park which was dedicated to the kids (god I sound old when i say "kids"....and im only 22!). They could do whatever they wanted...but it had to be artistic...not just "Mac Was Here 2003" or "SMP" or whatever. One day I hope to have my own "music room", with all my MC equipment hooked up, records on the walls, and a feature wall with graffiti art.
