My scariest movie ever was The Grudge. Something I wish to never repeat. I have been turned off horror. October 2006 will bring The Grudge 2. What's your scariest?
lol, scariest will have to be the original The Posseidon Adventure
Put me off boats well and truly. didnt help that a yacht got similar treatment just off the coast 2 days after seeing it.
Google: Did you mean: The Poseidon Adventure ?
It actually sounds interesting after looking at some reviews.Although a Action/Adventure film.
the ring got me good.
but of the couple of horror flicks i've seen, Ghost shiped rocked the most, that intro scene is unforgetable >.<
Zing twang snap fwip zip. [ mass dismemberment ]

The Ring, The Grudge and SAW1 & 2, the SAW series inparticular makes me shiver, its scary that ppl actually have thoughts like that to make a movie bout syc minded people. Brrrrrr
Forgive me lord for i have sinned, I hit 4th gear jump5th gear pinned:b:
No horror movies really freak me out but the Exorcist is fairly good.
silence of the lambs is pretty cool too.
Some people say less talk more action, i say more torque less traction.
still havnt seen a movie thats actually "scared" me
sure some have made me jump a little but thats just because of something unexpected happening, if anyone can reccommend a movie to me which will make me scared to fall asleep...please tell!

I have seen so many horror movies it ain't funny, pretty much all of them have their scary moments, but i can't say any particular one sticks out.
texas chainsaw massacre has some good jumpy bits though- like when he jumps out in front of the car and saws it
wow, not too many REAL horror movies mentioned yet....
id have to say, for the age i saw it at (like 7 or something) childs play scared the sh*t out of me, i was freaking out that chucky was gunna jump out and ran at me with that knife.
a few other movies that left some sort of scary impact when i saw them were, the shining, candyman, IT, hellraiser, poltergiest, phantasm, the bunker, house of 1000 corpses (for sheer gore)....and the list goes on.
Like xlr8_87, I havent really ever watched a movie that made me scared to go to sleep. Except for Freddy Cruger (spelling?) when I was 6 or 7 years old. I LOVE "scary" movies...im a bit of an adrenalin junkie...but nothing so far has made freaked me out heaps. Ive seen SAW, the Grudge, The Ring, Texas chainsaw massacre, wolf creek and all that but none of them really lived up to expectations. Out of those ones, I would probably say The Grudge was the scariest for me. Oh, and Pet Cemetery was pretty good too. Aww man, now I want to watch a scary movie!! Are any new ones coming out soon??

I've only been scared by one movie in my life but it was more my own thoughts inspired by the movie. I have jumped during heaps though with shock from the unexpected but that's not being scared.
I can't recall the name of the movie that scared me or what it was about but it had demons who came from the bush or forest. I was 10 and snuck into the drive-in on the floor of my brother's car.
After the movie, on the way home, my brother took a detour through the backroads. We lived in a mostly rural area with plenty of bush, no houses for miles and no street lights. We were talking about the movie and I said it didn't scare me so he pulled over and said get out and walk in front of the car down the track (lots of gravel roads )with no lights on. Yes I'm gullible so I did. I walked about 50m then the lights came on and I was thinking good I've actually had enough of this but my brother hung a 180 and took off leaving me in the pitch black with my thoughts.
It took me about 45 mins before I saw the first lights of a house and another 30 minutes to get home. He was waiting at the end of our sreet so he didn't arrive home without me.
Edit: I just recalled another. I was 7 and there was a horrorthon on TV. I wasn't allowed to watch it but being summer I was trying to sleep outside on the patio. I could here the TV and a phone rang (on the TV) and a man was talking, he obviously finished the call and turned to his wife and said " we have to make sure the house is secure, Vampires have been spotted at the end of the street". I lasted about 10 seconds before I ran inside to my bed.
Never

Penance can't absolve your sin
i have to agree with this comment, movies dont seem to bother me too much (ok the ring did a little!) it the fact that someone can think this stuff up that scares me. opens up the thought that anyone could be thinking this freaky shit and applying it somewhere for real. or worse....Originally Posted by brownie82

The original Exorcist.
I love horror, but this movie gives me the creeps.![]()
I wanna see it again.![]()
The Pokemon Movie freaked me out....
ka-zam, you know, the one where shaq plays a genie?
anyone seen hostel yet? its a fuggin joke! there is hardly any gore in it yet i was told it was the bloodiest movie for 10 years! very dissapointed, thats for sure!
not really gory, i dont find full-on gore movies scary (you get desensitised to it), movies where they build up to something really terrifying are the ones i like. didnt mind Silence of the Lambs, very welll done. Ghost Ship wasnt bad, didnt mind Event Horizon either, still hanging to see The Grudge, The Ring etc (The handbrake isnt into those sorta movies at all).
the hills have eyes is pretty freaky like scary freaky kinda thing.... cabin fever, the excorcist, bear mountain, saw 1&2, "the massacre" is pretty scary has alot of blood, obviously lol....but if you want to lay skids in your pants then yeh watch "the hills have eyes"
