I think the general rule is to always connect the negative/black/earth first, and then connect the positive/red.
Just so u know, try and avoid flames or sparks near a battery, especialy one being charged. They can go up in a BIG way. Be careful.
Take it easy, just go slow, kinda like a ricer, just try and make less noise.
I do have respect for road rules AND im a P-plater. Ok im lying...but i am a P-plater.
best to take the battery right out of the car too. ... as always.... "just to be safe"
