1,000,000 Holden

We went for a holiday a year or so ago and I saw that 6 millionth VX SS in the museum I actually slipped over the rope that was around it and wrote down the VIN number, will have to go through our holiday stuff and see if I can find it I had forgotton all about it until reading this thread so haven't checked my 2001 VX SS. Will post the detail when I find them.

The (4,000,000) VC is at Euchca but no photo as yet!!

holden has been around since the 40's or early 50's...

holden was born around 1880 making carts and buggy frames

For those that want to know the 1,000,000 Holden was the 37,783'd EJ made. It was produced on the 26 Oct 1962.

The chassis number for the 1 millionth Holden is EJ10540M.
The National Motor Museum responded to my Email.

This is the first milestone Holden I have pinned down with date and build number.

I'm sooo happy today.

The Chassis number for the HK 2,000,000 is HK81469-45719M

So it was the 45,719th HK built in Melb . and approx the 164,210th HK built over all.

Just for any interested I have collected/recorded 1687 VIN and Chassis numbers from the 48-215 to the VE.

Biggest samples are vn 285, VZ 234, VX 143, VS 129 and VP 126.

Finding the s/n of 3 of the milestone Holdens I should be able work out the serial number of some of the special cars.

Note I have not found a solid serial number yet eg 111,111 or 999,999

Or better still 000,000. Wouldn't that be cool!!

The Nation Motor Museum have agreed to let me take a photo of the compliance plate of the 6,000,000 VX SS. All I have to do is pre arrange my visit so a staff member can have the keys to open the bonnet.

You beeeuuutie.

The last WB Caprice at the museum has no compliance plates on it!!!
