people (mostly eminem ripoff's eg homies) who have their seat reclined so far back they can barely see over the dash WHAT THE PHUCK IS UP WITH THIS?! your cars to be driven so you can see the road it's not a bloody recliner!!
Ha ha! I have seen people in the UK with their seat almost laid down flat, but then they sit up nearly straight with their arm kind of looped over the top of the wheel! Mostly in hotted up Ford Escorts, Renault 5's or Vauxhall Novas! Would hate to see the results of that driving position in a crash. You also see a lot of modified cars in the UK where the base of the seat is so low the driver's head can barely be seen above the dashboard![]()
Whoever said 'There is no substitute for cubes' had obviously never heard of Jet power
well I for one have my seat back a fair bit, B pillar at my shoulder, but I have an valid reason. and my GF has hers back even further, she has a reason too... so don't think that everyone does this just to be a homie

- Learn to spell and use your Grammar It's "What The F uck" not PHUCK. (space included to avoid ***'s)
- Maybe people recline thier seats to be comfortable? Not everyone has to sit 2 inches from the steering wheel, my friend.
Cheers!
1: He can bag eminem...cos chances are the guys that 'unnessecarily' recline their seats are listening to rap...and metal rules all the way...
2: If you have ever seen the old shirt that says 'Phuck it's the Fantom' you would understand it's not an error.
3: To true, i'm 6'3' and find that having the seat low and back stops the mirror and sun visors blocking my sight and stops my knees busting the column when i brake...
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
PM with any info.
Mines back a few degrees from 90
i prefer driving upright
attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
I have my seat pushed back a long way but I'm tall....it certainly isn't reclined though.I'm not a fan of getting into an accident and then submarining underneath my seatbelt.
I used to be in the SES and a lot of accidents involved young drivers who were reclind that far back and pretty much had to drive with their fingertips. Control? Whats that? No wonder I used to mutter myself "You deserved this you piece of shit but I didn't deserve the 2am phone call to scrape your sorry arse off the bottom of your car and then pick up the bits and pieces of the car you didn't see."
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!
I can't sit in a reclinded seat, because I keep slipping down, plus it makes you look like a tool, when you could virtually rest your arm, on the back window, the way some people lean their seats back.
I have to have the seat back though, because I'm a pretty big bloke and my feet get cramped up.
there is a difference between being comfortable and being a danger to others.Originally Posted by tr3nt

each to their own... it's all in comfort, but if they doing it to the ridiculous extent that their driving is suffering then they are just tools, obviously no one thinks they look cool doing it, so begs the question, why do it if not for comfort??? lol, people ARE dumb...
I like Eminem and Metal... bite me.. :P
lol, unfortunatly MANY people think they look cool whilst doing it...go figure.

I have my seat back cause it's comfortable, too close you look like a tool.

I sit relatively far back. But not so far back that it looks stupid (I think?). Its all about comfort. Whatever position is most comfortable without compromising safety and ability to drive! But realistically, yeah I have seen some people driving so far back it looks like they are almost horizontal! But come one guys... gotta get the gangsta lean happening a lil bit!!

I'd like to make some of those twits in ricers you see doing it to the extreme spend a week in an old MG-TC...come to think of it, a lot of old 1940's and fifties British sports cars...the steering wheel is about eight inches from your chest...![]()
Used to be a guy here in Bundy with a brown Pulsar four door...he had his seat so far reclined that he was actually looking out the rear door side window, and drove with mere "fingertip control"...heaven help anyone who he had to avoid in an emergency, he'd have no hope of grabbing the wheel properly with any control. I actually saw him have to sit forwards for each gearchange to reach the knob...which is appropriate when you think of it...![]()
I see mostly commodore and ford owners doing this, not ricers. Most of themc ould order take out through the rear window, it's down right dangerous.
Don't rip off Eminem, He's made more money than you or your mother will ever make. And don't come back and say "You don't know me.." <- Exactly.. I don't know you, therefore you can't have earnt as much money!yh m8, don't rip off eminem. He is cool because he has made money!!!
Eminem is a foul mouthed moron who has made money off little kids and wannabe gangsta's buying his records.

Due to my injuries, I have my seat base almost all the way back (3rd notch forward of the back stop) so my right knee doesn't cramp up by being bent too much. Also the seat back is a only few degrees off vertical which is comfortable for my back. Reclined too much more & I end up in agony in my lower spine in a very short time.
heh, has anyone ever driven a ch lancer. fkn hopeless. im not tall and it dont matter how far i have the seat. my knee still rests on the frikkin dash. poorly designed for females. lolOriginally Posted by Spaced
I'm with you there, The worst thing is you dont notice it till you get out of the car and come back and sit in it. Mines not too bad, have to adjust it every few days depending on how much i drive itOriginally Posted by azkwazere
