Spammers

as alot of you will note we have had a few problems with scum suckers signing up just to spam the forums. we have had mobile phones, porn, pharmacy drugs... and god knows what else.

this is just a request, if you see a spammer please report it if it is within an hour of the thread being posted (so as we dont have 200 reports fro the same post)

yeh, i reported 2 posts today, first one, dont know how long it was there, but i checked second one after i saw this post earlier. least theyre not posting the same thing in several sections for the porn, just the one post.

i agree with tr3nt...how did i miss the porn one...but yeah this is good thread cos most of the time i wouldnt think to check wether they are a registered poster...

but the ones who do it are registered, they sign up and post, then leave. last one i saw even had "bye" at the end of the post.

i assume mods are collecting their email addresses and planning a huge mass spamming to get back at them, and also their ip addresses to attack them aswell (jokes, im bored, but it would be funny to see)

Just a note though. You should have seen that the spam levels have almost come to a halt today as the email validation has been turned back on.

Validation as in, people signing up and verifying they have a legit address...... the spammers get stuck on that bit most of the time.

ok is this why i still cant make threads in wanted or for sale sections as i have over what is it 10 posts requirement??? (50 something now)

i reckon what we need to do from now on is when ever a person joines up and spams the forum, we need to fix them up, i should put up there email addy and we can go nuts and spam them back, if each member sends them 2 emails each, of uter total crap, that would fix them right up id say
