I would if i had the cash, i would voluntarily purchase a phoon, or a tornado, either or, or if forced to do a project car from a ford, an XD with the biggest block i could find, my mate wants to do one with some mental motor from the states in it, 800ci i think, that would suit me fine. Make it like a yank tank, straight line speed but no handling characteristics whatsoever
I used to play sports. Then I realized you can buy trophies. Now I’m good at everything.

I've kinda got a soft spot for the EL GT. Actually there are a lot of Ford's that I'd quite gladly give a spot in the garage seeing as I like just about anything capable of making lots of noise, smoke and G-forces. But yeah, top of the list EL GT, Any AU T-series or an XA/XB GS type thing with the 351 clevo and no anti pollution gear! Hmmm seen a nice XH XR6 ute around Canberra as well, drops awesome burnouts and is just a tad more realistic than my top three.

A new GT? Bah humbug, I wouldn't own anything that gimp clarkson has anything to do with. The cobra though, now there's an interesting bit of kit. Did you know they made a few with a 427 big block? Some saudi arabian sheikh dude owns one and he actually drives it!

A yes the AU T-Series i forgot that, The only good thing made in the AU was the T-Series by far. Top engine old muscle plenty of torque.

So tell me, why are the V8's pissweak? I would really love to hear why, i guess seeing as you have owned one and all you should be able to form a very healthy argument for it.

I would love to have an Aston Martin DB9, those things are sex on wheels.

If it has to be a ford badged car, not just a ford owned car, then i would love a BF or even a BFII when they are released completley upgraded GT-P.

The only ford I would own if I had the money is the reincarnation of the GT40.
Ive only owned one ford in my life and had enough go wrong with it to put me off for life! But if I had the money to but a GT I wouldnt be worrying about the repair bill!
Im not a complete idiot, some parts are still on backorder!

Would like to own a BA or BF XR6 turbo.
As a project car, an XR6t engine in a cortina or escort

hmmmm.... probly an XY GT. not sure why, but I like em better than the XA/XC, but having said that, my mate and his dad are completely rebuilding a XB wagon, and so far it's mindbending.
other than that, I'd probly go with a BAXR6T or a XR5 as a daily hack

i have owned a Ford and it was a TD cortina

started stock as always and ended up very illegal
with the 250 crossflow and five speed homemade crossmembers and couldnt fit a coke can under it. the air filter hanging out the top of the bonnet and NEVER drove sensibly but never picked up in it either. Alot of power and a pretty nice drive ( if you like going sideways around roundabouts and the sought ) anyway i loved my TD but i also love my VP ( soon to be supercharged in the next month, all parts ready to go now )

I'd have a mid '90s Escort Cosworth. The one with the big 'whale tail' spoiler

Trust me, you wouldn't have to force me to own a Ford.

    My list..

Any GT up to the XA. (BA/BFs too)
    XB/XC Cobra.
    EF/EL
    Any Mustang
    GT40

    Etc etc

    There's alot I would love.

troy trepaniers 'quadradeuce'. its a 32 roadster with jag IRS rear end and full AWD conversion. it does (proven) 0 - 60mph in 3.2 seconds. thats as fast (or faster) then a lambo murcielago, ferrari F50, maclaren F1 and porsche 911 GT3. and not to mention it looks 2 billion times better then all of them put together!

I considered a EF/EL Fairlane when I bought my VS. I really like the look of them. I don't like replacing head-gaskets though. I find the AU a bit ugly, but pretty good and reliable. But I'd definately consider a used XR6 Turbo.

Phase I, II or III, any XABC GT, GT40, '68-9 Mustang, any Shelby Cobra (not Ford I know, but near enough).
