Metal Gig Goers? Any inside JC?

Whats the best gig you fellers been to this year? For me it has to be DragonForce at the Gaelic in May...

Runner up would be Opeth when I saw them on Anzac Day night...

I only remember when Opeth came on stage, because the line up was so huge for it I drank so much JD and Coke and I was blind by the time we got to the doors lol.

And next week im ripping down to KREATOR at the Gaelic Club (I ####in hate the Gaelic club, worst venue ever, but they get all the good bands in)


And if I have the money in time to get a ticket I'll definately be hitting up Cannibal Corpse

Im not really a corpse fan but id love to see them just for the brutal factor.

Any plans to watch lamb of god in october mate? Regardless of wat metal u like they are ****in amazing musicians. plus they are playing with kilswitch engage and unearth, definatly worth checking out in my opinion.

Korn was pretty good...

gone to a lot of punk/emo gigs this year though:
- Living End + Kisshasy and Gyroscope
- Silverstein + I killed the prom queen and Getaway Plan
- Kisschasy + Trial Kennedy
- Gyroscope + i forget
- Hawthorne Heights + Horsell common

and tickets to Taste of Chaos and Rise Against

all have been awesome

Haven't been to as many gigs as I should have this year...

Queensryche, Static-X/Ill Nino, Arch Enemy.
Got plenty coming up though Fear Factory, Dark Tranquility, Yngwie Malmsteen, Danzig, Black Label Society, Nevermore and Killswitch Engage.

Last year I went to Machine Head, Megadeth, Anthrax, Dungeon many others which aren't coming to me right now


Best this year by a mile was queensryche, last year had to be megadeth or anthrax.

i saw korn/static x/sunk loto when they came out a few years back, they were all wicked..

I've seen unwritten law the last 2 times they came to Melbourne, first time was with One Dollar Short and Sunk Loto, the second time was with 2 random ass bands I'd never heard of.

Have to say, unwritten law are GOOD live

hey all i like metal alot, but living in a small arse town where country and or western are the music of choice i probly dont have the greatest variety going...but i was wondering do u know a lot of the music/songs when u guys go to a gig, like theres so many i'd love to go to even though i only have a few of their songs and know hardly any of them any good, just wondering is all lol...

I dunno, all the bands I've seen I've sorta heard stuff by them... The only gig I hit up (because my mates were goin) without hearing anything from was Ill Nino & Static X.... They weren't too bad I suppose.

I saw them earlier, they are phenomenal, I must admit I am not a massive fan of their recorded material with Angela Gossow, but I'm a converted after seeing them live.
