attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
EA-AU falcon.... "hrm i wonder what we can make the head out of... lets try alloy... i mean its a cast block, it should be fine, its not like they heat up and cool down at different rates"
Hillman Minx!?
I spent my life up to five years old in the back of a Hillman Minx...I can still remember the red red red interior even now...![]()
Six cylinder Cortinas...I owned a 1979 TE Cortina 4.1 x-flow 4-speed...wonderfully comfortable car...decent fuel economy because of the light weight...shattering acceleration with a little engine work...
...but by Christ, were they a lead-tipped-arrow in the handling stakes...who had the bright idea of heaving a great cast-iron lump of a six cylinder engine over the front axle of a car which was designed for, at most, a 2 liter four? It was, however, a most Australian concept...you can imagine the guys at Ford sitting around looking at a Cortina brought out from England, tinnies in hand, and one scratches his head, burps, and says "Hey, what's the biggest longest heaviest six cylinder we can jam in there? Let's do it...bloody Pommies thought a 2ltr was big enough, hah! Fahn Cahns..."![]()
Seeing how easily a Winsor V8 will fit into a Cortina, I suppose we only have to be thankful that idea didn't come to them...![]()
Not exactly a bad car in itself, but what about bad engines?
* Opel "black" OHC four cylinder as fitted to early Sunbirds?
* Any engine made by any manufacturer in Australia straight after ADR-27A in 1976...gutless, heavier fuel consumption, and no power...great for the environment...
* Who had the bright idea of making the timing gear on Holden red six cylinders out of pressed fibre?
*
I would have said the camira, however...
the camira was apparently designed as a complete throwaway car. Change the oil and thats it. Once something breaks, throw it away.
Great idea, unfortunately they blew out the build costs so badly they ended up having to market it as a genuine holden 4 cyl.
*The L'Cheapo lancers (with dick heads who think there fulli sick with neons and body kits...oh did i mention cannon exhausts!!!)
*Dawoe Lanos
*Any Hyandi (i hate them that much i cant spell the naem right)

Hey,, don't knock the earlier model Lancer coupe's....they would have to be the golden underrated investment model of the decade!
They are really popular amongst young guys, because admittedly they have a nice shape, but they are usually lumbered with some asthmatic single cam engine and steel wheels. However, I've seen numerous times that stock unmodified run-down ones with tired paint sitting in car yards here have had anything between $6500 and $8000 on the screen, and they last about a week before being snapped up!
I only wish I'd had the foresight to buy one or two back when they were just another little "girls car", and weren't the target of modifiers...back around 1998 when they were a few years old, you could buy them for half that price...![]()
I don't know if these cars are crap in everyone else's eyes... but these are my most hated cars, based mainly on looks.
1. Nissan EXA - hate them with the fire of a thousand suns
2. Mazda MX5
3. Supra's
4. R34 skylines - ugly rear end
5. Ford Capri
6. Hyundai Xcel
7. Not sure what model it is, but it's the ford AU shape with the butt ugly headlights.
8. LANCERS - except the late 80's evo.
fiats!!! Bloody I-talian peice of crap.
dont rate them one bit.
E.P.A .. Emo Patrol Australia.. We'll Make Your Life Hell <-- Add this to your signature for EPA domination!
Chuck Norris won 'Jumanji' without ever saying the word. He simply beat the living shit out of everything that was thrown at him, and the game forfeited.
And its interesting the Daewoo Lanos is in there..bit of background info
Same motor, same box, same brakes, same CV, same wheels, steering column almost everything is the same as the Barinas of the same year. Even out of the same factory.
And 90 000 hard, hard k's could not kill the bitch. Believe me, other than the fact the oil was changed every 5000 and was polished every fortnight, she valve bounced almost every gear change, got airbourne frequently, and had a coupla smashes. Traded her in on the VT And I've gotta say she was the best car I ever owned...
my recommended reading on the topic of crap cars/good cars are the Lemon series of books (does 2 books count as a series) as well as Jeremy Clarksons book from a few years back about his top 100 cars.
Very interesting reading them both and seeing which cars are in both books and for what reasons.
Apparently Richard Hammond also has a book out about the 100 cars he would never drive.
ECOTEC KICKED IN yO!!!!!!
Man, that Ssang Yong is a bloody abortion! If I could, I would fine them for visual pollution!![]()
Other shockers:
-Those old Citroen ****roach cars
-Come to think of it all new Citroens as well. Some are kinda funky but very quirky and bizarre styling
-Toyota Camry's. Pretty much any model but especially the latest shape - the "refrigerator on wheels". Big guards with poxy little wheels and big overhangs - uuurgh!
-Toyota Echo sedans!! *spew*
-The latest shape Magna's *vomit*
-All 4WD's (don't even get me started)![]()
That'll do fo now...
EDIT: I can't believe you can't write the word "****roach" !!
EDIT: Damn it! You know what I mean - the type you spray with Mortein...
Any Ford,Mitsubishi Magna pre 95

the pinto.... the model with the petrol tank in the back bumper....
i think the AU falcon is the most justified 'hate car'...and as mentioned before the new camry's, we have one as a school car and my english teacher flogged the hell out of it, right to redline down our main street...never threw me back once lol...but! they are so comfortable and quiet, if i had to travel a lot i would buy one at once, then get home and fang the commodore for a powertrip lol.
did anyone see the TVR Griffith on top gear, aside from its power, how much of a POS was it, oh and the main guys ford gt...hehehe
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
PM with any info.
Every single Hyundai ever to make production.
Austin Allegro has gotta be in there. That was a terrible car with the kind of square steering wheel and hydrolastic suspension! Just the sight of one was enough to make most people throw up. Behold the ugliness below!
And the Lancia Thema and Skoda Estelle were shockers too. Oh,and anyone for a GMC Pacer, Wayne's World style?
Whoever said 'There is no substitute for cubes' had obviously never heard of Jet power
gogo mobil dart - g o gg o
