hmm im REALY bord so im wondering how many song do people have on there itunes media player?? iv got 5010 songs atm and about 4700 of the have been listned to in teh past 6months.

Just scanned my pc for all the mp3's that I have.
A whopping total of "27710"
A mix of Rock, Metal, Dance, Pop, Trance, Techno.

from ambient to dance to rock to classic to a spritz of pop and a few raps.

I got up to 30 gigs, then it has slowly declined. Now it all fits on my 4GB nano

On a seperate note, I actually paid for music from itunes the other day for the first time. Little JJJ bands deserve all the support they can get . Of course I, and everyone else here, paid for every one of our songs

well being a dj im up in the 46,000 region of songs and still ever climbing but im not talking about full albums im just talking like only the main strem stuff that everyone knows the stuff yud get at any party be it a 16th all the way to a 50th + but there all on cd :P

I used to have around 7 thousand.

Then I cleaned it out and found some duplicates and triplicates, deleted alot of crap stuff and got some new stuff, and I'm now sitting on 6500 or so of 192kb/s minimum quality.

The 60gb ipod is getting close to full, time to go on a deleting rampage again, I just want to clean out the library more, i'm fussy with its sorting.

Haha, I hate it when you download an album you already have...

My minimum is MP3 320kbits VBR... Anything below I don't get, or if I do it gets deleted.

yeah you notice it as soon as you start playing them in the car, i don't notice it that much at home though.

i hate it when iTunes starts converting music that you have in wma, into mp3 or aac. so you end up with triplicates. and then you have a discography of something which has 4-5 different versions of the song.

not in itunes, but i have 105 gig worth in just over 15,000 files. i have been meaning to go through and sort alot of it out and burn the stuff i dont listen to to DVD

How can the isp prevent you from using torrent sites etc to get albums??
What do people do with broadband if not downloading stuff?? I use up my 25gb a month very easily.

I have around 90 albums on cd-r's in the car (running out of stuff that I like now but have a good mix of genres).

I know stealing is a sin/crime but I don't see filesharing as stealing.

Its a very grey area in the law, ya know at the start of new movies they have that bloody piracy ad where they are stealing stuff "you wouldn't steal a car" etc. At the end of the ad it says "downloading pirated movies is stealing" and then it says "stealing is a crime" BUT it does NOT say Downloading pirated movies is a crime.

Anyway I remember getting shafted 10 years ago and paying $30 for every cd I bought (sometimes more) and if they got scratched/damaged they were gone and you had to buy them again.

Yeah, thats what happened with all the music that I have now.. I used to own it.

Nah they need to put them on something else, they need to start bringing in memory cards instead of cds. The cds get scratched way too easy, or at least improve the cd medium.
