Can anyone tell me when this bloody holden Captiva is going to make an appearence? it been on the site for ages but nothing is mentioned about release dates and there seems to be absolutly no media coverage on it. Whats the deal holden? Are you going to release the thing or not? Any information would be great!!!
i would say around sydney motorshow time. the commodores having its time in the sun, then the statesmen, then the captiva i assume
This is what I know about the base 5 seater SX model. Here's the specs. 3.2 litre V6 rated at 169Kw(98 RON), 5 speed auto, 297Nm of torque@3200rpm. Kerb weight is 1570. Base price is $36,000. Combined economy is 11.5L/100K(Holdens figure). 65 litre fuel tank. Length 4637mm, Width 2110mm(inc. mirrors), Height 1720mm. Ground clearance 200mm. Release date is late Sept, early October.

It's the chev version but there's more pics so you can get a better idea of what it looks like. Most figures quoted are slightly different to the version we'll get.
what ever hapend to that new torry they were bring out usually when it was adveretised it was bring pink but i just havnt seen any or anything also could 200mm ground clearence lol imaging if holden teamed up a partnership with king springs every cr off the line lowerd and ready to rock :P

Would be nice to see the SRi turbo version. Saab gets a turbo 2.8 V6 that punchs out 184Kw so a turbo 3.2 V6 should have a fair bit of go.
The Chev version of the Captiva was at the Melbourne motor show this year. Was badged a holden but was left hook.
