Opel Astras???????????

i love holdens, but this one guy fully shits me, he put "OPEL" on the back of his astra and continues to call me a stupid "commonwhore" and abuse me and how he is imported from europe.

now, i didn't know that this was actually a holden until a bit ago, what is your opinion on the matter?

there certinally are some holden owners who need their head checked....
whats been your worst experience with holden haters?

Holden pretty much only make the commodore and other cars based on the commodore.

Yes the Astra is made by Opel, but if it is the Australian model then it may be different in regards to power figures, emissions etc, therefore he shouldn't say its an Opel - you don't see Lexcen owners rebadging as commodores do you!

A lot of people re-badge their Vauxhalls as Opels too. IMHO why go to the bother, as at the end of the day it will still say Holden on the rego sticker.

Ummm....Unfortunately yes. My mate Leigh has one. Everything lexen has been changed to holden. You'd never pick it unless you can tell the differences in interior or looked at the rego sticker.....

We're not talking about converting the car, we're talking about putting a HOLDEN sticker on the back of a Lexcen, for example.

If I had an Astra I'd look at converting it to an Opel, as I'd rather an Opel than a holden. Just tell him if he really wants it to be an Opel, do it properly so people can't tell its just a holden!

Hi all, im actually living in Germany at the moment and i love holdens, but would be embarassed to drive an opel. Over here they are sh#t. They look like a barina or astra crossed with a new purgeot. The sedan "commodore" model is the vectra and a corsa???wtf. In europe there really isnt a car even similar to the holden saloon. Even the ford sedan looks like a hyundai sonata. By the way we have a 2006 mercedes clk 220 wagon turbo deisel....sh#ts on a holden but i love the grunt of my baby VN at home which is for sale. Id pick a commy over it anyday.

Does this guy have the brand new astra? Everyone is entitled to wat they want anyway but i think its quite dicky. See Ya

Opel Senator - Base for the VN to VS

Opel Omega - Base for VT to VZ

The 3 litre 24v Senator had about 210bhp and there should be a few about if you wanted something similar to a VN

Just re-badge it as a Holden lol.

and as for the lexcen i saw one with a hsv sticker on both front and rear windscreens but he left all the toyota stuff on it lol what a tool

it's just like putting hsv sitckers/badges on normal commo's i know shit loads of ppl do it who own commos you see them everywhere all the time (whats wrong with what you got? why try and make it something it isn't?), or putting body kits on that don't match the car <--- these ppl are seriously messed up.
