I had a quick look over my door jams tonight and noticed that my passenger side front door has a few rather large holes in the jam's. What is the best way to fix this up so it will prevent further rusting or deteriorating?
Thanks in advance
Adam.
Sand it back, give it a quick spray with fish oil, and bog them up! That'd probably be the best way to do it.

would it be better to weld up the holes after cleaning the rust from it and spraying it from there? or would that be so pointless?
Well, you could do that. How big are the holes exactly?

no bigger than about 5-7mm .... but there are a few of them, from what i seen only one big one and lots of smaller ones ...
I reckon you'd want to rip out your windscreeen while your doing rust repairs and check the metal for rust holes. You need to find out where the water is getting into the insides of the door jam panels outwise it's pointless fixing it.
As for bog... it shouldn't be used for holes because it need to be sealed over with paint so no water can get into it, otherwise it will cause the metal to rust again, and then it will crack and fall out.

Well the door seal the soft spongy one has been torn away so i assume its from that as there are no rust in the front windows and no water on the floor...
