Msn.. being crap

Anyone else having troubles with msn? I spoke to Hozy and he said there's a LOT of poeple on webmessenger (including myself)..

anyone found a way around this ?

i was using webmessenger before but just logged back on using the normal one and it worked fine.

TEMPORARY SOLUTION
Guys,

Open with Notepad: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\ho* sts

Add these 2 lines to the bottom:

65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

Make sure you remove it in say 2 days time though....

Save it and restart msn, should work ok.

the host file is like an address book,
the addresses that were posted are alternative servers for msn messenger, obviously some of the usual servers are having problems. these alternate servers will get you logged back in, but be sure to change them back in a few days time.

I found the info on another forum that is discussing the same problem, I am also a computer technician. Most likely a server issue with one of MSN messenger login servers. Microsoft have many MSN Servers. Because the new server addresses are only alternate servers, you will need to change it back in a few days when they have fixed the problem with the main servers.
