My guess is it's a Bastard Trumpeter if you seen it in SA waters !

It was in a rockpool on Avoca Beach on the Central Coast - pictures from today (testing out new camera)!
i was gonna say rock cod or wotever they are called, hard to say but
its the rare Nanarug fish
every armchair in my grandparents house is upholstered with that stuff

Looks like what we call a rock cod, they are pretty common on the coast round the rocks etc.

Actually if it is a Rock Cod... beware they have spines on their heads, gills, and dorsal fins that are venemous... I dont think it can kill but it will give a nasty wound if they are handled !

id say some sort of cod im not sure stone fish are more ugly and rock looking arnt they i dont really know im a victorian fished man
lol it anit a flounder. no way the head is wrong its the wrong colour is the wrong shape nothing like it at all flouder are sand coloured as they hide on top of in the sand to camoflauge the also have both thier eyes on top of thiers heads and look kinda retarded and thats what i can tell you about the flouder.
i thought we settled this saying it was a rock cod?? or is it sumthing else cos if it isnt it has me stumped...

its a wrasse. you get them every were across most of australia. little vermen. take your bait and taste like shit. they come in a huge variety of colours.
