WTD: Someone To Go On A Plan For Me!

Hey guys, as im only 16 i would like to know if someone would go on a plan for me, i work 2 jobs...financially perfect....but want a new Nokia N80... Would anyone be interested in helping me out?

I also have a LG lg U8180 orange mobile phone which i wont be needing anymore... so if anyone could help me out it would be the biggest help...maybe i could meet up with someone on the coast who could help me out?

yep, stick with the lg til you've got the cash for a n80, it usually works out cheaper in the long run

usually you can go on like 3 or 4 plans at once, so i dont see why your mum cant do it.

Mate i dont think anybody is willing to let u have a plan under their name....
I was silly enough to get one for me gurl n she ran up 880 worth of calls, thus makin me wait an extra 2months to lower me car...

What i would do is see if ur mum can do it on her plan but up the cap a bit then they are more likely to give u another phone on ya mums plan as they would get more $$ a month of ya....

I think that would be the reason they wont let her get another is coz she on a low cap if it was higher they can let up2 4phones on 1 plan i think i can recall....

im due to resign to optus for another 2 years. they have already offered me a free phone (including an N80). im waiting till the N93 comes out though.

what you are asking is pretty stupid though, you want someone to have a bill in their name for a phone which you will use..? umm, no... whats to stop you from racking up thousands in calls. you dont have to pay for it, its not your name...

Firstly you can go on plenty of plans regardless of whether you're on another one, as long as you have a good credit rating.

I currently have 3 plans, 1 for my business, 1 for personal and 1 for my girlfriend, all in my name. I'm only 23 so thats a lie.

Secondly most pre-paid services come close in value to those of a plan with the exception of the free phone, so if you're financially sound and able to pay for the plan you should be able to pay for pre-paid and the phone.

No one is going to risk their credit rating to help a 16 year old kid get a mobile phone. Family is your only chance or stick with pre-paid.

Your 2 jobs may seem safe... However, you're a 16 year old, working at your local supermarket, flipping burgers or doing an apprenticeship is not "safe" enough for some to risk their credit. 16 year old unskilled workers are alot more dispensable than seniors.

ejhorwood, at least your mum would consider it for you, my parents would laugh at me and tell me im dreaming and im responsible when it come to using my phone (i have to pay for it and i use $30 in credit per school term - every 10 weeks approx). im 16 to btw

I turned 18 in june, and i tried for a plan but nope rejected twice so i ended up buying the phone i wanted LG U880 on 3 and i just use 3 prepaid. much safer option.

ive been on a contract since i was 16 (now 24). for the first 2 years it was in mums name, then just got it changed to mine. i pay 102 a month and that includes my calls and everything (cos im on a capped plan). plus i claim it as a work expense cos its listed as business phone with ABN
