You realise no doze dont actually do anything? It is just a mind thing, we tried them will in east timor on heavy rec, a complete packet did nothing.

Dunno bout an all nighter two nights in a row....But i haven't been to sleep yet. I just kept tossing and turning...Fkn headaches....

And yeah, i reckon them No Doze or whatevers and other similar products are just a mind over matter thing. I'm even starting to believe paracetmol is the same....

no doz, V , red bull and the likes are bad for doing 2 all nighters cos they have a huge comedown from the sugar high and make u fall asleep. me and my mate did 2 all nighters from friday night to sunday morning at bathurst last year and we were so messed up for the next week with sleep patterns and stuff lol..

if you want to stay awake try duramine. its what the truckies use. but yes it does have a big comedown depending how many hours you've been awake on it.

doctors will prescribe it to you if you need a diet pill. some will presribe it if you tell them you need to stay awake for hours driving. you can buy it in some truckstops too from under the counter. some truckstops sell other wakey-wakey substances too if you know what i mean.

red bull and V are sh#thouse unless you have several and then you start having heart murmurs. the only drink i encountered to keep me awake was WILD. i drove 900kms, had one of those then drove another 900kms. started getting dozy after 700-800kms into the 2nd stint though. Wild will make you trip out abit though if you are really tired when you have it.

Yeah I've done 2 all nighters..

Was about a year ago now, I woke up Friday morning at 7, and went to work, finished work at 4:30 and went straight to a mates place, started drinking with steve at about 5:30 by the time we got stuff sorted. We drank, we had dinner, other people started drinking and they all went to bed at around 3. steveo and I continued on listening to music playing xbox and drinking, we finished the bottle of scotch early on so we raided other peoples supplies and started our second bottle.

We woke up a mate at 6:30 because he had work at 10, so we dragged him out of bed, he got ready and we went into sizzler with him when he was ready.. We had lunch/breakfast at sizzler, with another couple of scotches to go with it. We got picked up after our feeds and we went back home, I got dropped home and I showered and dropped back off at their place with a change of clothes. Swang past the bottle o and grabbed another bottle as they were having a party that night. And a party it was.

The night got on, and people were starting to die off, my mate had fallen asleep earlier and I was on my own keeping the battle alive, the few remaining that were left with me started playing poker. We wrapped up the game of poker at 5:30am, and I contemplated staying awake, but I collapsed onto a mattress and slept..

Was sick a couple of days later with a flu that killed me for a weeks… but it was an awesome time.. and damn i drank some piss

When the original Guarana tablets came out in Australia in the mid 90's were pretty good, I was working at a nightclub Friday and Saturday nights and then working at a recovery club Saturday / Sunday days until about 2pm so used to pop 3 or 4 of the tablets before the nightclub shift and I could work straight through no dramas

I think the Vig, No Doz, etc available nowadays have been 'watered down' compared to what they used to be though

if im yawny then a little freash air clears that up, if im flat out bugged then not even a gun to my head or a pair of lips on me... so to speak... can wake me.

though once i was nodding off like some limp somthing, nocked back a 600ml coke and i was right to drive again lol

all the energy drinks etc even no doz can perk me up, a coffee does help a little but i still dont get very alert.

i was watching a doco on ice heads last night... they were saying its nothing to be awake for 15 days straight. and one couple said they would use 1/4 an ounce of ice in a night.

to put that in perspective (for those who dont know drug-speak) 1/4oz is (pretty much) 7 grams (or 70 'points'). when i was going out partying all the time 2 points (1 point = 1/10th a gram) would last all night and most of the next day. these freaks are using 35 times that... AND they are using higher grade stuff!

When I worked at KFC I regularly stayed up crazy hours.. I've gone over 72 hours with no sleep heaps of times before..

48 hours without sleep is hardly noticable anymore.. Staying up for 72 hours is a good way to not get jetlag and have a fun time. You will sleep whenever you can, not when your body clock says yes.

I take No Doz Plus, Ultra strong plunger coffee (a lot of people spit out the coffee I drink) and food..

quick warning to anyone tempted to discuss their drug use - dont.

might sound soft but the only time ive used nodoz is if i am driving somewhere and need something for that last little bit in an attempt to keep me going. alwyas with plenty of water because doing those things will wreck livers and kidneys in no time.
as for all nighters, never had to in uni, i was careful with my time and bright enough that i didnt have to study my arse off... or efficient.
i did slam into a car once and wasnt worth the insurance and had to work nights at APCO and days at BP, some study here and there and sleep if i could fit it in. did it for 4 weeks and found eating the right foods, looking after my mind and still fitting in a little excersize was better than any pill could ever do.

thats what i mean by staying level headed mate. been through the same thing, thats uni life. like i said though i was lucky enough to never have to work acedemically hard to get the same place as others i know, i guess thats why i never had a backlog of work.
having said that i am one of the most unorganised people i know... i seriousely couldnt organise a **** in a brothel some days.

    Default Sleep deprivation!

Naturally because of anatomical differences, we all react differently to sleep deprivation, but it is has an enignmatic daredevil attraction when driving. And that makes it dangerous. Oh, and by the way, no doze, does have a effect on you. At least it should. But back to my story, I digress...

I was travelling to Munich on the autobahn in a souped up BMW from a little town in Germany called Babenhausen. Now as you all probably know, the autobahn has no speed limit, and because everyone else is flying, your speed seems relatively slow...unless you pass a bus or something. What made it worst, it was winter and the heat was blaring as was my music. And imperceptably I started to get sleepy. Now we males are not the smartest leaf on the tree. When we get tired, instead of stopping, we speed up to get to where we are going. Why not simply wait till we get where we are going to sleep(famous last words). And as you speed up, the motion of movement lulls you to sleep. It's like an enthrallying woman wooing you into temptuous helplessness. I actually remember getting so sleepy that I started hallucinating because I passed the same bridge about 3 times LOLOL. And yes, it was the same bridge, because the same people were crossing it. If there arent angels, then ET must have been sitting on my shoulders keeping me awake because by all logical equation, I should have been pushing up daisies.

Cute story, but stupid. Be careful out there. And for Pete sake....get your rest...you need it.
