not finished yet .. still ahve to paint my bumper bars, grille, mirrors.

this is all happenin on friday ... not bad for a DIY huh? lol

i would've liked to hav spent an exra week on the prep work and get all the tiny imperfections out, but im moving to qld soon and ive run out of time

oh well! looks good. and please not, these pics are taken at 5:30pm and the sun was setting so the colour is not as bright as it is in real life.

theres not much of the bak to show! hahah

theres no rear bar on it and its all taillights!
hmm it looks so blue in the pics ...

its actually an iridescent purple lol well thats all the blue pearl in it i guess lol

Looks purple to me too, but then i've actually seen the colour in full day light but that was only inside the boot and the doors.

and some scotch .. i love scotch. bring scotch and i'll takeu for a drive and we'll go blitz some vx's hahhaha
well maybe not, i have spark issues atm. cylinder 1 is farting on full throttle like its not sparking properly.

ive got all the other bits painted now ... they're dryin out in the oven at the shop so i'll have them all on my car tomorrow!!!!

Misfiring hey.....

Try the spark plugs if you have platinum ones. My sons twin-cam Corolla with the 4A-GE motor was misfiring one one or two cylinders...we checked the timing, we checked the throttle body, we checked everything, and then found out that platinum plugs, while lasting a very very long time, can fail suddenly and without warning and yet still look perfectly "normal". After taking a deep breath and deciding on buying some new ones ($28 each, Jesus H Christ on a bike!!!!) the problem went away like it never existed. Shame they are so expensive to "experiment" with though, if that isn't the problem.

Just a thought anyway.

Fantastic paint job, hard to believe you can do that at home. Very nice color too! I'll go ahead and say it even if no-one else will...that model is amongst my favorite Mazda coupe body shapes...my most favorite is the tiny little R-100 Rotary...
