    i've heard of plenty of stories similar to that involving other manufacturers, including holden.

    Poor guy .. That would suck ... I saw a similar story in FHM. The guy made up a sticker on the back window of his car about the story and drove around with it ... lol ...

    yeh wen i was working a my old work this guy lived accross the road and had just bought a brand new XR8, in that lime green colour. anyway once a week you'd see him out their polishing it and then one day about 4 weeks after getting it new i saw it being hauled onto an rac truck. the guy who owned it was just staring at it on the truck shaking his head. never saw it again.

    prolly had similar probs to his guy but he prolly sent it back to ford and demanded a refund. lol

    Poor barstard..... thats ridiculous.

    ACA covered a story similar with a guy and his black VX SS Ute which sucked down 20l of oil a f/n, 3-4 replacement gen3s, etc.

    Just makes you wonder, had to be a friday/monday car..

    This is why Australia needs (like in the US) the lemon law (buggered if I know what it's proper name is) where if a car has three major faults you get a new one.

    It happens, ever manufacturer has lemons. Remember the story about the $1,000,000 merc that blew it's engine 16km down the road, funny thing is Mercedes wanted him to pay for a new engine.
