Anyone from Epping/South Morang/Mill Park (Vic)?

What are your thoughts on the railway extension to South Morang from Epping? It was an election promise that they never fulfilled, instead choosing to run a highly efficient bus service.

I think it's bullshit that they can make promises like that only to not go through with them after they get elected.. you can read more about the rail extension here: http://mc2.vicnet.net.au/home/fosm/w...extension.html . I guess this thread is pretty useless to a lot of people except those from our area or train fans I guess but it's just.. argh.. damn politicians

same thing happening over this side mate extend the glen waverley line to rowville but instead an express buss serice does the job in half an hour with traffic lights and all where as the train would be 3-5 mins depending on if they go with aanother station in wheelers hill
