ever noticed in "the core" the ship thing they go in is made from some crazy metal thats heat resistant or some crap, then in the end they weld some wires to it to get power.... what the???
what are some other good movie stuff ups
fast and furious; the big finale drag with the supra and hemi..... it smokes the tires AND wheelstands at the same time....
heheh now that you mention it, i can remember that! actually in fast and the furious again, when they use the damn NOS and everything goes blurry and the speedo goes from like 100-160 in 2seconds. lol
hmmm... how bout the NOS causing the car to blow up???

terminator 2: when the truck drives over the edge of the bridge the whole window falls out... next shot the window is still there abd is just cracked.
speaking of the terminator series... they stuffed up the the time line completely
(ps kristana loken is hot in T3)
In titanic, before they hit the iceberg, he commands the guy at the wheel to go "hard to starboard", he goes hard to port!
the last scene big drag race finale in fast and furious..... it takes them about a minute and 20 gear changes to get 400m![]()
Thats the very first scene aswell.
correct me cos im probly wrong but i dont think it would explode like that, i think that the producers were saying that just the NOS went off, not the fuel and it wouldnt be blue?
FnF again, when they use their nitrous the flames are the same colour as the cars (pink car has pink flames)
Firewall - Harrison Ford sticks an iPod to the monitor to steal computer passwords
no, nos usually would not wxplode like it did in fast and the furious. it's non flamable! the pressure from the tank may have caused a flare, but would more likely put the fire out.
nos works simply by extreme cooling the fuel/air charge. meaning it condenses masively and pretty much acts like forced induction.
well, nitrous oxide is an oxygen mix (duh!), but the nitrogen content slows down the burn of the oxygen, therefore only making it half as effective as oxygen alone

Well any rapid addition of any oxygen to a car fire would make a decent explosion as far as I can see.
Then there are other problems like bottle failure

In pulp fiction, the straw in Mia's $5 milkshake changes from paper to plastic
dukes of hazzard: when they get the general back off cooter and they jump in and cooter goes to open the gates when the cops are on the other side.
he opens 1 gate then it cuts to a different angle and both are open and they drive out.

Beau Duke: Man, I'm never gonna get outta this car again. I'm gonna live in it, I'm gonna eat in it and I'm gonna make sweet love to it!
Luke Duke: You mean you're gonna make sweet love IN it.
Beau Duke: Oh no, I'm gonna have sex with it.

Speed 1: where the bus jumps the missing road section, I hate stupid things like that which could never happen - plently good examples in FFS.
Mission Impossible 2: On the bike chase scene, when they go from the road to the gravel it is obvious they change the tyres aswell for those paddle style tyres. and on a general note where a fuel tank on a car is shot and it blows up, that is utter bull, and its been proven on mythbusters by opening a couple hundred rounds into one![]()
Going back to the opening drag in F'n'F, I like how the Civic (least that's what I seem to remember it as? bloody memory's crap these days) absolutely lunches itself on the NOS,sounds like it's got a whole tapdance troup in there.Yet when the cops turn up he manages to fire it up and get away from the area without a single protest from the previously f##ked engine.
A self healing engine!! where do I get me one
Noticed the quick tyre change in MI 2 as well! Actually, seem to remember the bikes being altered altogether from a road going jobby over to one of those motorcross/road bike ones but had been dressed up to resemble the road bikes. If you look, not only have the tyres changed, but the rear ride height has increased to motorcross proportions.
Something that annoys me in all these action films where one guy takes on a whole army, etc is that they are all terrible shots and yet he can shoot from any position without aiming and kill them
Also the gun fight scenes where handguns seemingly contain unlimited bullets
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
