Hey guys

Was changing a tyre on the celica and it was so worn it had metal bits sticking out n I cut myself open on my hand in a couple of places..

When I told dad he recommended a tetnis shot.

What do you think? Should I see a doctor?

People often forget about tetanus or think it is not serious. If you can't recall having your last shot, it is better to be safe rather than sorry.
No harm done if your Doctor doesn't think you require a shot.

Seriously though never know what your car has ran over, could be rabid animals, anything - better to be hurting for a 'lil bit then need to get your arm amputated (alright I'm being dramatic)

I think ill make an appointment for the docs.. had my last tetnus shot in grade 6 (7 yrs ago).

Doctor will probably give you a tetanus shot anyway, a few years back I was working as a wood machinist and sliced the top off the middle finger of my left hand and they gave me the shot as a precaution despite it not being 10 years between shots

That's if he got an adult booster Shot. Children Tetnis expiry when you hit 15 I think. So A booster is better.. And besides, a prick is better than Tetnis!

That would explain why I got the other shot as the last one I had would have been the child shot

I severed my finger badly a few months ago on a tractor, saw bone and was rushed to hospital, I had no tetnus shots though, but I did end up having plastic surgery!

yep bloody hurt too I rekon i had about 2 tonnes of hydrulic pressure on my left ring finger :-(

You would have had a shot, along with antibiotics, you just weren't aware tetanus was included. With physical injuries requiring surgery they give you a shot even if you had one the day before.

Damn makes me think id be due for one last time i member gettn one was in year 1, but mind u i had cancer when i was younger an got needles more than i changed my undies lol.
