Hahaha, I'm gonna be halfway through a three hour exam when they run it, whats the bet the lecturer dissapears from the hall sometime around 3? As for putting money on the horsies, I wouldn't dare offer a tip given that for the last 4 years I've picked horses that have done no better than 5th last.

I really know nothing about racing or betting but I usually have a bet on Damien Oliver's ride. He is my younger brother's mate and we all, as well as Jason Oliver, went to Byford Primary School together.
He said bet on the Jap horses, but I didn't get around to it.
My daughter picked Delta Blues and Poprocks just for fun.
Delta Blues because of the line in the Marc Cohen song and Poprocks because she likes Poprocks bubblegum. She did say Poprocks would win though.
I may bet on what she picks next year.
