Default Hi everyone check this out and its legal.

As some of you know i have moved to Germany Europe. Just one word for you all.......AUTOBAHN. This pic was actually slowing down cause the border was about a kilometer down the road. We were doin about 245kph. The little red sticker must just be a guide of how fast to go. We also got overtaken about 4 times at that speed as well.

That's crazy. Is there an extremely high road death toll over there? Or is everyone taught how to control a car at those sort of speeds?

no not really high death toll, very few accidents but u gotta be on full alert while driving as if you are doing 160kph it is very easy for in 5 seconds someone to be next to you. So u only change lanes the second u check its safe. To get a liscense over here u have to do many tests in all possible weather conditions though. It costs over $1500 Euro i think. Coz my mum has hers but that was over 20yrs ago. I usually do 160kph it actually feels like 90kph, the roads are very safe as in surface wise over here.

Also over there I hear that people know to keep to the right side, so you dont have someone in the fast lanes going 40ks an hour with their blinker on.
I wish we had something like that in Aus
What car was that in by the way?

    But wait... There's more!!

    But that's not all!!!

Big difference between the race track smooth and barrier bound Autobahn and a single lane Australian country road full of holes and gravel all over it, with gum trees 2 meters off the road surface :P

The Autobahns are some of the safest roads in Europe. They're also maintained to a very high standard - unlike some here!

they arent actually called autobahns any more as Germany is now part of the EU, but people can go at whatever speed they want. cars and trucks going slowly stay on the left hand side. When i was in Europe in April, our bus was getting taken over by some very hot cars, i beleive a maserati ripped past us at well over 200kmph.

Yeps I have to agree after having driven on EU roads for many, many years, the roads down here aren't anywhere near as good sadly.

Germany have the best though - had my S4 at 163mph (using a Road Angel GPS not the car speedo) which is around 260kph. There is a vid of someone in his RS4 out one night there though - he actually stops, then floors it and takes it all the way up and off the clock at 300kph in under 30s.

Seriously, Austalia needs to get its act together with or roads, deathtoll, infrastructure and other such traffic related problems... It is a very frustrating problem as we all know too well..

We can't just blame the government for the road tolls. No amount of advertising, campaining etc. will 'fix' some peoples stupidity and their decisions to drive when completely pissed, speed etc.

But more needs to be done in the quality of australian roads. And they need to be maintained. I have to avoid the same pot hole everyday, and i have done so for the past 2 years. It's ridiculous.

Its a pity germany is starting to slow down all these roads, i believe there is only like 3 real open speed roads left now.

you just don't want to hit them in a car that is weak or one without a bullbar cause you won't get far afterwards lol (especially if your car is low~)

which highway was that in qld with the 150kmph limit to darwin ?

Man, I've gotta say, for such a supposedly fancy car, that dash looks average! It reminds me of something out of an 80's Magna or something!

(No offence S Pack, I hope the car isn't yours?)
