1.5 kilo sara lee chocolate cake, still frozen (its about 50cm x 35cm)
    2 x boxes of 12 cakes
40 x chicken and lamb kebabs

I got two boxes of stuff out my dads chrisco hampers that he doesn't eat/didn't want yesterday.

1 kg of nescafe blend 43 coffee, a humungorous jar of vegemite that'll last me a lifetime, heeeeaps of lollies - snakes, jelly beans, red skins, lolly pops etc, about 7 packets of all different sorts of bikkies, pasta sauces, bags of slated and unsalted cashews and peanuts, chrissie pudding and chocolates.

There's more, but i can't be bothered going through the boxes.

Needless to say, I'm very happy.....

It's not free and isn't "stuff" but the bloke down the road who runs the panel beater and spray painting business is fixing all the nicks in it for cheap as chips!

got the same thing... its lingering too.

sorta free, got a new printer/scanner on warrenty when all that was wrong with the other one was a few lines throught the colour. they said to do what i like with the old one so i now have a perfectly good scanner/b&w printer which tries pretty hard to do colour as well!

who said the world was such an awful place. great thread.

2 free vr v6 motors, one the other week when i took my manifold in for an acid bath, the guy said i could have it, its got a blown headgasket, only 80,000k old motor!!!

and last week picked up another one from a mate, 200,000ks, said it had a knock in it. dad drained the oil today from it, and only had 1ltr in there, gotta find out if he drained the oil before he took it out at all.

Last week I got five 15" rims with tyres with about 40% tread that were dumped in the bush. I was out collecting dumped steel to make a bench for my shed.

Not free but for $3.00 I picked up two Honda lawnmower motors and three bodies. Now I have two perfectly working mowers after putting them back together.

Last year I got given a reel mower that wasn't running and hadn't run for over 12 months. A repair shop had quoted the owner $400 to fix. I took it home, cleaned the contacts, put fuel in it and cut my lawn. Then I took it back to the guy and gave it back to him. He sold it, as it wasn't needed, and came and gave me half the money which was $600. It originally cost him nothing as it was left in his shed when he moved in and then he told me he had never seen it run before.

Got given a Mitsubishi L300 van about three years ago because it was not being used. Drove it for 8 months and then gave it to guy who had his car stolen and couldn't afford to buy another one and needed it for work.
