    Talking Nhulunbuy- Fishing Pics

    Hi all

    Just thought id share a few picces of some good fishing I got onto up on Aboriginal Land 5 hours down the Bullman Track, Nhulunbuy. Got onto some great cuda, rock cod and the always good fighter GTs. Also a pic of where ive been working (Alumina Refinery) and surrounding areas. Crystal clear waters and heaps of sharks, crocs, boxy jellyfish(- which i got hit by diving) and generally everthing that wants to eat you. Special permit required to get here and only a handful of white people have been there, so hard to get permission. Enjoy the pics.

    you bastard... im jealous as hell now, ive always wanted to go up to the top end and chase barra and GTs

    what was the biggest fish (of any sort) you caught?

    Biggest would have been a 10ft Six gill shark, brought it right up along side of the tinny!

    jeez nice work luke, looks like a top place and some nice fish too.

    so jealous of yah, i gave up fishing down here because the only things i would catch were max 20cm long

    Yeah, there's nothin like the fishin' around Nhulunbuy. Was up there myself last Christmas. Caught this nice little 15kg Mackarel sitting in behind Bremmer Island one afternoon.

    So I'm guessing you're an Alceng employee then? My uncle is a Lead Engineer working on the boiler refurbishment's up there.

    Awesome stuff, can't wait til I go up North later in the year to visit my gf's dad. Apparently where he's at is rated a 15 where as the daintree rainforest and fraser island are rated 9's. Not entirely sure what the rating is anymore, some nature density thing or whatever?

    Should be good to get some snaps anyway.
