    Default Spider removal

    Hi all

I had a huntsman spider in my car and when I flicked him off the passenger side roof lining he ran down the passenger A pillar and behind the dash

Just curious as to if theres an easy way to flush him out or if I have to pull part of the dash out to get to him as I don't really fancy having him crawl out of the dash while I'm driving
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?

huntsmans... had one of those in my pants before, reached into one of my pockets and there he was. Not much you can do if it craweled in there unless you remove the dash, maybe get a female spider and entice him out.

Good plan, how do I spot a female huntsman though ?

Its just a spider. Look on the bright side, if you leave your windows down and mozzies or flys get in, theres someone to take care of that for you know.

Me and the spider in my car have a good understanding!

Only thing is spiders are my biggest phobia so don't want to cause an accident if he runs out when I'm driving so want him out now, lucky I have a spare car to drive around in

whats the deal with those spiders living in cars?! they love it, i used to have them all the time in my old calais...i think it was because i parked under a gum tree and they'd crawl down into my car to cosy up to a warm engine.
i dont think you could do much to get it out, just keep something handy to swat it away with next time he decides to show up.

lol i had a huge huntsman on my passender side mirror today, had my 7 yr old daughter in passenger seat, she refused to get out of the car. Ended up coaxing her out, but she climbed over and got out drivers side.

I had one of those bastards bite me believe it or not! It was on my towel and after i had a shower, I grabbed the towel to dry my neck and I felt a nip on my neck and dropped the towel. There was the bastard crawling across the floor! I had a look at my neck and there was even 2 fang marks! No pain or suffering came from it. No swollen neck.

They are commonly called huntsmans but also called window spiders.

yeah they are quite harmless people are only scared of them because of the size, i kept the one from my pockets in a jar. As you can probally tell i care little about spiders, infact i have a pet spider in my room, i think its like a black widow, hes made a nice little home in the top corner of my roof. I see people get scared from a spider 5mm in size, imagine their reaction if they see a bird eating spider, those are massive

Actually I ain't a fan of spiders (or snakes) for that matter, but they do get rid of the things that piss you off. i.e insects and mice.
