New Phone: Nokia N73

Hey guys, i finally got my 1st Nseries phone yesterday afternoon, i got the new relased Nokia n73, this phone has got eveverything i could ever want in a phone, funny story how i got this phone 2, here is my story, for the last few weeks since i spoted this new phone i kept on asking optus how long til i can upgrade and get this phone and they said 3 - 6 monthes, then yesterday i had a look at 3 to see if they had the same phone which they did but cheaper plains i was just about to shift networks then optus call me once i left optus world, they presaided me to stay with them, since i've been with them for 5.5years, i told the guy from optus whats frustaes me which were

and why i want to leave optus and all then he made some good deals, one was upgrading to a new phone and he would cover the charges and all, sound like optus don't want me to leave , anyway so i got the phone after a long phone call with the guy, got it on 79Cap , i got a new sim card aswell but can't but it til monday.

i was playing with this phone all day yesterdays, it got some amazing features, i amsolotly love the Camera espially the zoom 20X, its a complete different phone that i'm used too series 40 (6230i), aswell, i've made my mp3 ringtones aldeady now i will upgrade my mini sd card to 2gb, least my old phone was not damaged this time, so i will giving to my sister.

If you want a good phone buy an i-mate or a sony ericsson k800i

I got the first N-series phone (early adopter? hell yeah), N70 back when they were new.. brilliant piece of kit, had it for nearly a year now I think.. I threw it smashing the screen, then I bought a new screen off egay installed it myself, highlight of my life lol

ive always had nokia's for battery life my 3100 used to last 2 weeks before charging..... anyhoo i decided to buy my first sony ec (k750i) and it will be the last, the battery lasts on 3-5 days. i always new sony ericcsson have weak batteries but when the spec sheet said it had a rated 500 hour standby time i figured it would last a fair while, but it dosnt

yeh i got a nokia 6230i i got it when it was brand new but its starting to get outdated now but i love my 1gig card with all my music... its enough for me

I have had one of the N73's for about 3 months now and wow incredible phone dude you are going to love it even now I am still finding new and wonderful things which i didn't know it had on it.

Camera quality is incredible, 3.2megapixel camera with a carl zeis lense, auto focus, red eye reduction. I compared this and the sony k800i together took photos of the same things printed them out etc and even though it's still 3.2mp you can see the crispness of the nokia. I have attatched a pic i took at the airport and this wasn't on the highest quality.

You will find that because of the simbiant software it may start to slow down or memory will become full (RAM memory that is) so you just need to make sure you don't have too many applications running in the back ground.

sounds like a good phone mate, im looking at getting a new phone on a plan at the moment but am considering the 6280 aswell as it is much cheaper

can any1 tell me the difference between the 6280 and the 6288? also what more does the n73 have?

I've had Nokia's pretty much since day one going from the 101 to the 3210 then 6230 and now 6230i and will look at the 3G Nokia's in the future as well.

I had a few dodgy Ericsson phones supplied to me through some of my jobs so even if they have improved nowadays I still wouldn't touch them

I got the Smasung D900 today which is the N80 or 90 or whatevers competitor. I bought it for 480 off ebay when it retails for 750. Camera is crisp but photos need editing before printing to get the colour and brightness right. but once you tamper wit them the photos are brilliant for a camera phone. Good for me because i like to take a photo when im out but dont want to take a camrea with me. I found that te Nokia and SE ones looked better becausae of the colours but were not as crisp as the Samsung. The Samsungs photos can be editied up to match the others for colour and contrast.

Ive had almost every brand possible when it comes to phones. Not for a known reason its just im a d**khead when it comes to wanting new phones.

not yet. i was going to get one but i couldnt be bothered waiting. plus i figured i have a digital camera so whats the point of having a phone like that.

i was told they all got recalled because when the zoom is used in video more it picks up the noise of the motor drivig the zoom

i saw one in a shop yesterday and have asked at Telstra shops and they said they had them outright but not on a plan

they're a bit bigger than i'd like (think Motorolla V3, but 2 or 3 times as thick), but hell i want one
they'd better come out on a plan soon
