This stuff is very convincing and makes a lot of sense about car waxes.

I've heard of something similar. might be worth a look, especially when I get my project on the road. will definitely be of use for southerners on water restrictions if the claims are true about washing made easier

I saw this a few days ago. It would be good to give it a go. Where to buy it though? Thats a US based site so they won't show suppliers in aust.
Aight, if it is I might get you to order some for me too... and I can see more orders coming through from members here...

I think I did one step better. I sent them an email asking them to consider having a distributor in Australia as I know quite a few people interested in their product. I was thinking of Peps, or one of the local auto supply dealers. I wont mind getting them the contact details if necessary.
If they don't want to do that, I would be happy to arrange for my sister to get a few orders, if any of you are interested.

It sounds like a salesmans dream. I'll believe it when I see it though.
What is PTFE exactly? The lab report is rather comical given that the figures differ but they state that there is no discernable change. Neither does it describe the compound it is testing.
It is claimed the top wax only lasts for 25 washes, now it also states " a couple of weeks". That is a lot of washes in a couple of weeks.
There is lot's of writing but little actual info given. I'd like to see it in use as many products have made similar claims with the " it didn't work as well for you because your paint is in poor condition" excuse when questioned.
I would still be prepared to give it a go though as it sounds intriguing.

Hey guys:
I got a response for the folks in the US from my email. They do have a distributor in Australia in Queensland. Their website is www.colourshield.com. Hey, maybe we can ask the administrators here to approach Colour Shield and ask them for a group discount for us, seeing that quite a few people would be ordering from this site.
Any thoughts on that?

PTFE (teflon) is found in most paint protection kits. i have used the wynns branded one and honestly it did sweet f a. i found that using mequires gold class shampoo and wax. also eagle one nanowax brings up the car much better than that crap ever will.
Its a common miss conception that people actually use their brains before they speak.
2 cars and a big old bedford here same as above will wait for results

Well, is anyone going to suggest it to the Administrators here, or do you think they will eventually figure it out(You will note I implicitly excluded myself from the equation
)

God must love stupid people, He made so many.
actually it's pretty easy if you remember basic science, one bottle is positively charged, other is negative = massively strong bond.
Another option i suppose is something like gelcoat, that stuff stops boats filling with water and contaminants, so it can't be bad for a car

i still dont see how it differs from any other synthetic waxes...meguiars tech wax paste is a 3rd of the price($32) of that stuff on the website($90ish). I wash my car twice a week and wax it every four months. the only reason why i wax it every four months is that the paint get swirl marks in it from dust. i doubt that any wax will protect from swirl marks for as long as they say their product does
