One of the guys I work with has a mate who works at a local wreckers. He was telling me of a story where once his mate was pulling apart a pedal assembly from a wrecked car and noticed a rotted human toe that was torn off in the crash up under the dash. I was wondering how the hell a guy/emergency crew could just miss a toe like that but I guess if the guy died in the crash, there is no need to go hunting around for it. Its sad to see wrecks like that knowing that a person could have been desperately grabbing the wheel in a last attempt to save themselves.

My uncle is a diesel mechanic... He was stripping the cab of an old Hino that had been in an accident that killed the driver, and he found a chunk of skull. He wanted to keep it (thats a Broken Hill nut job for you) but my aunt made him throw it out.

I used to work at a heavy vehicle smash repair workshop. Seeing syringes left in cabs, bloodstains on floors and doors, and some dudes' brains and skull bits sitting on the engine of a cab-over Kenworth are something I wont forget in a hurry.
