Default dangerous in the wet + soap on the road?

    hey guys
well i was driving this night, first rainy night in about 2 weeks. raods were wet
and i was doing a normal right hand turn onto a 3 lane road.
as i was turning somehow i managed to do a 180 degree spin and face the on comming traffic. this was a very scary experiance as this was a 80kmh road and cars were about 200m away. lukily they saw me and stopped in time.
i span out over 3 lanes. but to my surprise i saw SOAP or SUDS all over the road.
can anyone tell me y there wud be suds there? on a wet road.
they were there before i had my incident.

( also i barely accelerated doing this turn)

yeah, cos it hasnt rained for a bit, when it first rains, all the oil spaks up to the top on the water before it can wash off. is nasty, the vx wanted to go round at every corner tonight and i wasnt trying to be stupid at all

I dont think its 'soap' as such. It is the oil from hot days on the surface & then rain = slippery. But I often see what looks like soap on the roads, Id say its just general muck coming off the road surface.

The other day it was raining was doing around 80kmph on the highway, about to overtake someone. I put my foot down to overtake and then realised that my tyre's where spinning for around 5 second's tho i didnt loose it or anything. And then on the same day around 5 minute's later i came to a stop sing and was turning right onto the main road it is a 90kmph zone, i took off and broke into wheelspin i took my foot off and then put it back on and im still in wheelspin and there was a car behind me getting closer and closer so the only thing i could do was put my foot down and have my car spinning up the road for 100 metres. What make's it worse is that im a P plater and all of the people who saw it probably thought i was a hoon lol.

yeah its because of the oil thing, gets worse the longer it doesnt rain.. early this year when i was on my l's... i was driving like a grandma and i came around a round about... put a lil but acceleration 2 get out of the corner... (wasnt even enough to get me out of the corner to be honest) and the wheels start spinning, ass end went out right left and i got it back centre, and was spinning in a straight line and slowly making it spin less... THEN the ass end suddenly kiks out to the right just before it stoped spinning it kicked out to the right...... and it was to late by the time i relised and i just stopped myself from going into the gutter.... then i reversed and continued driving... it was that bad when i reversed i could see oil marks

and another time i was coming from a main road onto another main rd, lucky there where no cars coming because i was on like a 90 degree angle.... and its happened on a main road.... but dont ask me how i got out of it but i did. (btw this 1 was on my p's so like 20 or more people assumeing they saw it prob thought i was a hoon)

I had that happen a few weeks ago leaving work, it's only a small incline from car-park to road but had the wheels spinning for a while there..
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?

In my old VN, I turned a corner to go up a hill on a relatively busy double lane main road. In the wet. I could NOT get traction going up the hill until I was doing about 50 :S Then I realised that in the transition from Summer to Winter, the air pressure in all my tyres was down to about 22...
