Don't know if anyone else knows of this site, but if you're looking for cheap ipod's or gifts it might be worth looking at.

I haven't had any problems with the gear i've gotten.![]()
are you serious? i really want an ipod :P
As you can see they're refurbed so that means the units have gone back to apple, they have checked them out and then they are selling them off cheap to get rid of them. You still get the one year warranty.
Wish I had that sorta money... Damn registration 2 weeks before Xmas!
bah, ipods break to easy hence why the have a refurbised shop and have been awarded in the top 10 dogyest products for 2006. give me creative day
yeah i thought that they got fairly high up in the top 10 as well.
Although I'm not a fan of Apples iPod range of music players and iPhone (apparently being announced on Monday) I thank you for posting this link!
Also another nod for Creative, they're pretty damn good quality
And why do you think they rank in the top 10? How many units do they move vs percentage return rate?
tell me if this is unfair, but do you know a significant sample size to even tell if 70% have defective products.quiesimply put, a product ONLY sells if its successful at its job. why do you think creative are second best to apple?! their software of the unit and also the computer is not as user freindly as apples for a start.make any excuses you want but the new ipod just won gadjet of the year in a very respected mag.
Out of about 10 or so mates that have iPods, none of them have been sent back out of our group, and thats ranging from owning it a minimum of 8 months up to around 2 years.
I dropped mine last night, from about 1.6m and it landed on a square piece of metal and then concrete. It didn't even stop playing.
My gf's had a hard drive error but I was able to fix that myself with the 5 R process.
apart from apple's cost cutting in not including the software anymore, and the restrictiveness (is that a word?) of itunes, the ipod is great if all you want to do is listen to music, look at pictures and watch videos.
That being said i'd still go for the new creative any day of the week. All the extra stuff you can do on it overshadows the thickness of the unit easily.
Also, apple insist that all warranty claims go straight to them, so there's no real way of knowing how many ipods are returned unless apple decide to tell us.
By the way i sell the damn things every day, and am asked the same questions about them all the time, so if anyone has any queries... shoot!
because the other companies dont sell enough of a particular model to warrant producing an adaptor. we sell probably 5x as many of each ipod model compared to any of the other mp3 player we stock. However I have a feeling if this new creative unit gets popular they will start producing adaptors for them.
Is 6gb the biggest the Creatives go too?
I think thats a main reason why iPod is carving up, for size and hard disk space, they absolutely own. iPod nano's I've heard are dodgy, but compare that size to anything else thats 8gb and less.
I've got a 60gb, There's nothing on the market that can really compete with that, iRiver, but they're not a nice looking unit.
new creative is 30gb.. looks like an ipod just a bit thicker.
chucked a search coz i forogt the name:
Creative ZEN Vision:M
they cost about the same as a 30gb ipod video
Nice, looks alot better then previous Zens, my mate used to own an earlier model and took it back after a few days, hated it.
Whats the word on Microsofts take at the portable MP3 market? What are they called? The Zune or something? F*cking ridiculous name
not sure i havent heard anything but whispers about em yet. oh i found out today that if you purchase windows xp pro between now and feb (around 120 bucks for the academic version), you can upgrade to vista for about 30 dollars when it comes out early next year. Much cheaper than the expected 300+ rrp
or justa wait 6 hours after the release and it will be on rapidshare!
