i think becoming an ordinary electrician would be better .... only got about 4 different coloured wires to play with .... big $$$ in the mining industry for them too ..... most likely in the building industry too ...

Money is good if you don't work for someone. My brother in law is an auto elec. He bought an old panel van and went into business for himself as a mobile auto elec. He's doing very well indeed.

There is good money to be had in most trades. But you have to have the balls to go it alone rather than work for a wage.
