lol, 2 damaged doors on a Vl would surely = a write off. Whats the write off value on a VL now? I would be surprised if they did repairs that exceed $1000.

I didnt think they could write it off if you weren't at fault. Her insurance should give you the choice I think... not sure though having never been in that situation.

above is true, old cars written off automatically sometimes, but as you are the victim here, and it is the other party's insurance paying, you should be able to ask them to fix your car rather than write it off. Common sense would say this is the case, but who knows.

They cannot realistically and fairly determine a payout for you if its written off as it is not your insurer doing it, so I think they will either repair it, or give you the choice of repair or an offer they make to write it off.

if it gets written off just take out the interior and wheels and engine etc, and use the money from the write off to buy a roller VL and then put those things on it.
