ok, was checking emails, and i got a typical spam email pretending to be ebay.
as usual i clicked the link for shits n giggles.
now, this is the first time ive done one since i upgraded to firefox 2.0
heres what happened, how awesome is that.
lol its a good feature, i noticed it a week back![]()
You'll come unstuck one day by clicking on those links hakhawk.
Just to be safe it might be wise to change your passwords mate.
clicking the link wont have me lose my password, clicking the link then entering details will.
haha...thats cool....
I always type nice messages in the username/password box for the baiters to read![]()
Whats does that little 'this is not web forgery' bit mean at the bottom? Is that telling you that that message itself isnt fogery? Or that you can click on that to tell it it isnt forgery.
Umm, Internet explorer 7 does all that...i much prefer IE over Firefox, Firefox uses up twice as much resource as IE and pages always load buggy.
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
- Theodor Seuss Geisel
haven't had any resource problems with Firefox myself, and the only really buggy loading I've personally spotted were pages that were pretty dodgy in IE as well.
The main problem with IE is all the viruses that are designed to exploit it.
Although I guess with Firefox's popularity it's probably getting a bit of viral attention too.
I'll admit I haven't used IE 7 much, just on TAFE computers, so maybe the viruses are less of a problem now.
A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any other invention in human history, with the possible exception of handguns and tequila.
yeh, firefox is a bit of a memory hog atm, its a bug i think.
but it only requires closing it and reopening, it saves all your tabs and reloads them.
i havent bothered with ie7 to be honest, im more than happy with firefox.
hvent really had any pages load "buggy" in ff, theres the odd site that isnt made properly and freaks out, but nothing to worry about and not very often at all, as i cant even think of the last one that didnt work.
drewins, i suspect the "this isnt a forgery" link is to tell ff its a safe link, which i wasnt going to click to find out anyway.
there's also a plugin you can get too, what it does is highlights the domain in the address bar of all web pages, in that case it'd highlight the ebay.com.pages-ceze.com part, good to have just in case firefox lets one by, but it only works if you keep an eye on the address bar
i consider IE6 more of a resource hog than FF, don't get me started on IE 7.
only bug i have had with FF is it doesnt like pages that use java, freezes up for a moment before coming good again and running smoothly from there on just an initial loading glitch i figure
attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
i luv firefox.... i like the new feature that can restore your pages if it crashes or you shut your comp down without closing firefox off...... and the ONLY page my firefox stuffs up with is carsales... stuffed with my old firefox to.... might be my comp, i dont know but you have to expect atleast one site not to work, does a fantastic job
just done a virus scan and ive got 0 virus's and a couple little spyware files (just the files, not the processes) and thats using firefox
with Internet explorer welllllllll lets not go there because once i had like 40 virus's and a WHOLE LOT of spyware (was around the 300 mark)..... leason learnt.... dont let people use your comp to much HAHAHAHA![]()
Ive had a few problems with the new FF, it seems to crash my machine every now and then, and i also get this niggling little thing where it says down the bottom that a page is 'done' but the screen is blank until i press the "go" icon up the top. Might also have something to do with my virus software but worth sooking about anyway.
I'm using firefox right now and it's awesome!!! You can also changes your skins and plenty other add-ons. Its more secure.
i use both ... but usually use FF... i found it faster loading pages ...
