Full comp through AAMI on VY SS. $697 a year.
I insure through a broker here in geelong, full comp, $830 a year with UNLIMITED mods. I currently have my VT insured for $35000 due to all the mods(previous to this insurance value i was insured for $22000 and unlimited mods for $460). I have never once had an issue with payout and i get to choose any repairer i like.

Yeah, which is a good reason to not drive like a clown at the moment, and park my car in a garage.
But even so, some bullshit could still happen to her.

i only insure 3rd party property only (voluntary decision in Vic, altho yes you're very brave not to).
if i add up how much i've saved over a few years by not taking up comprehensive insurance, i can easily pay for my car to be replaced. my car's only worth a few $grand though.
$1100 a year on a v6 vz ute with $3000 added in extras (tint, wheels, suspension etc) for a male driver 24 years old with 1 at fault accident and 1 "at fault accident" (read hit a roo).
Only insures businesses, i had it all setup with my last job, i was allowed to carry on the insurance even after leaving my last job as i become quite good friends with one of the managers there.
They do private insurance which is a little more, i think around $1400 a year for my exact contract now, which is still alot better than anyone else. I always suggest you look into brokers.

VT S ( told them no mods, but its been lowered and putting sound system in ($1000) should i ring up and tell them that? to get it all insured?)
Does anyone know whos the cheapest for a 18yr old driver?![]()
A sound system is not classed as a mod, its an accessory so defdinetly tell them about that.
As for lowering that is a mod. If you have not told them about it & you are in an accident, then it will void your claim & they are not bound to pay you, so once again, i would tell them about that too![]()
on the vc third party fire and theft: $430 per year through just cars
