im not saying peaple wuld likely be man/or woman enuf 2 leave their details,but cmon theres gotta be SOME decent people who care for there cars like us isnt there? even if was just a minor scratch if they just xplaind what happnd it wuldnt piss us off so much!

unfortunately, there are too many people who believe if no-one saw it then it doesn't matter.
Someone crashed into me yesterday... at traffic lights.
On my way home from work, sitting at lights with about 40 other cars heading the same way as me, I felt a thump in the back, look in my rear view mirror and see the woman behind me frantically changing to reverse (column shift) and she backed off. light turns green, I pull forward to find room to pull over and get out, she saw me and legged it. no major damage, a paint chip 10x20mm and pressure cracks around it. jumped back in the car and flogged it chasing her, but lost her.
managed to get her plate, not sure if i should report it (fleeing the scene and driving without due care) or exact revenge next time i see the car.

sorry, bit of a rant
