Getting Screenshots

Hey there prob a very simple question, and ive used the search button but still get nothing. All i want to know is, to get a screenshot is all i have to do is push the "PrtScn" button?? Because when i do nothing happens. Or is it saving it to a file somewhere that im not not seeing. Can i just save it tot the desktop?? When i take screenies its in game and i use xfire most of the time if i have to take them.

when you press prnt scrn it is like copying text, you have to paste it in a paint graphics program, mspaint works.

then save it.

u hold shift + printscreen, then open up paint and paste well thats how I do it!

also:
ctrl + printscreen gets the whole screen, alt + printscreen gets just the window selected

or you can see if the game has a printscreen button taht saves the file output, most games have this

go to www.gadwin.com and get a free Print Screen program ... its small and very easy to setup ... i been using it for years .... you can select any key to do a print ... you get a preview .... then select SAVE ... or not save if you dont like it .....
