i just noticed the green square thing .... how many have you got .. how many does one need to get their first green square ??

you start off with a square, once you go over x rep, ( i.e. 'off the charts' ) the squares proliferate

actually thats the annoying thing, it's always nice checking one's control panel and seeing new reputation points awarded but its a little head scratching when there is no name attached. but that subject has been discussed many a time.

OK the grey or neutral square...

This is reputation left by someone who has no reputation power eg. someone with negative reputation, a new member (less than one year) with no points, or a member with minimal posts. The reputation they left for you would have either been good or bad, but they have not earned any reputation power so it remains neutral.

Hence the fact that this thread has been started a number of times before i feel it isn't worth keeping open.

To the people asking about names on feedback - it is the users choice. If you get rep you feel is unfair pm one of us, if it is something to do with a disagreement don't bother reporting it because thats your problem.

We keep a close eye on the rep system, if people are using it just to get someone to the next level i will more than happily go and remove rep points and may accidentally wipe some you earned properly.

In short, don't screw with the rep system, it has been a contentious topic before.

Hairy-eater, a friendly little note of warning- use the search function. We are closing far to many of your threads, its a drain on us and generally a pain in the arse. Think before you start another new thread or someone might give you pest points.
