Default Computer Techs and Alike.. Help Please!

A mate of mine helped me format someones computer (HP). Hewlet Packard Pavillion, 713a.

    It just needs
    Sound,
    SM Bus Controller,
    USB; and,
    Video drivers.

if someone can help me out, im having difficulties finding the drivers for those components, that would be fantastic.. and I'll give ya rep points

if i remember the model correctly, it should of had specific reload CD's.

but the actual HP website should have the drivers to cover your needs

( www.hp.com.au/ ) you just need to search the model ( pavillion 713a ) and see what comes up

    -edit-

Yeah, I used to be one of three techies for Caulfield Grammar school, located in S/E Vic. Anyone from Victoria knows that Caulfield Grammar is a VERY good school, and let's just say you gotta have a decent bank account to get a child in there!

Did the computer come with a Preload / Recovery CD. If so, run this cd and it will install windows with all the drivers preloaded. Most HP's have a special partition on the hard disk which has drivers and recovery cd stored, unless you have deleted this partition.

Go to the link posted above for the Sound (Realtek) and Video Driver (Intel Extreme) (Here)

Also check what the chipset is of the mainboard or post up the motherboard model number.

The chipset chip is a large chip on the mainboard.
    looks something like this:

(Most common brand of chipset is VIA or Intel, but there are others)

If the chipset is a VIA chipset, go Here and download the "4 in 1 driver" which is located at the bottom of the page. This should install the SM Bus Controller driver and the USB Driver.
