Saw this beast at Willowbank on Friday... I was so looking forward to seeing it run but it died on the line with some gearbox problem and had to be towed away

You can just see the bottom of the car it was to race in the top of the pic, it was this thing:

looks like a VX body with a VY/VZ front, the rear just looks rounded....

hahahaha, with an engine like that on the road, the only cruising you'll be doing is from one petrol station to another.....at least you'll get there fast though!

that is a fantastic question and I too would like to know the answer...
I know the gearbox is not.
You can bet also that if ANY of the engine were still holden it would be the block and nothing else.

lol with great difficulty i'm sure... although its not like you need a wide field of vision like you do on the street.
Have a video of a top fueller where some poor guy forgot to put the throttle stop on it over-revved during the burnout and went BANG. I will convert it to divx and post it on my site this afternoon. (video courtesy of my younger and less enthusiastic brother XhArD)
